Wayne B. Frisbie, Jr. ~ June 8, 2021

Dansville/Livonia:  On June 8, 2021, Wayne B. Frisbie Jr. passed unexpectedly at age 48.  He was predeceased by his mother Jeannine Frisbie in 2015.  Survived by his loving wife Ami (Waldinsperger) Frisbie of Dansville and children; Jacob Frisbie and Jayde Waldinsperger both of Dansville; his father Wayne B. Frisbie Sr.; siblings, Darlene (Steve) Lawton and Kenny (Deanna) Frisbie; father-in-law Joe Waldinsperger and mother-in-law Bobbi (Bill) Litteer.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Wayne grew up in Livonia, NY where he excelled in sports and was very proud that he was recruited from High school to the Braves as a catcher, but after an injury and unable to play Wayne enlisted in the military as a marine in the infantry division. After serving his country he received his truck driver certification and worked for a national trucking company for almost 20 years as a feeder driver where he received many awards for his exemplary driving skills. Wayne was the type of person who always had a smile on his face and greeted everyone as a good friend with a big hug. He was funny and sometimes goofy but one of the best people you would ever meet. His nickname at home was MacGyver because he could fix anything, solve any problem and was always willing to help everyone and anyone. He was known to stop and help stranger who needed help. Wayne did everything with his family, and was happiest spending time with his wife and children. He prided himself as a master Griller and loved to cook for family and friends. He always had a funny story to tell and loved to make people laugh. Wayne was the best husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, neighbor, and patriot. He made all our lives better just for being around. Wayne was the type of man most strive to be. Unfortunately, our country denied Wayne re-entry back into the U.S. and he had to stay alone in a country where he didn’t speak the language and was given 3 rd world country health care. His young family and all of his friends are devastated to lose such a wonderful man. The world needs more people like him not less. As per his wishes, “please remove me from voter registration so I don’t vote democrat and have to come back and haunt people.”-Wayne.

Bradley R. Bennett ~ May 31, 2021

Honeoye Falls:  Bradley “Brad” Bennett, passed away peacefully on May 31 st , 2021 at the age of 61 yrs.  He was surrounded with much love from his wife, Karen and sister, Brenda.

Born in Lubbock, TX to the late Roger & Sylvia “Janet” Bennett, Brad grew up in Honeoye, NY and graduated from Honeoye Central in 1978.

He had a long and fulfilling career in the tire industry, managing retail operations, then heading up major wholesale divisions- where he was well respected and knowledgeable in his field.  Fifteen of those years were spent working for (now retired owners- the Miller Bros) of W. Glenn Sedam, Inc. of Perry, NY.  He had lifelong friendships with former employers, co-workers, customers and industry contacts alike.

An avid sports fan, Brad enjoyed dirt track racing, the Rochester Red Wings, the Buffalo Bills and Syracuse basketball.  Vacations were always better when it included stops in Cooperstown for the Baseball Hall of Fame and a chance to soak in the atmosphere there.  He was in his glory when attending baseball games.

In late April, battling cirrhosis, renal failure, Parkinson’s Disease and complications with diabetes, Brad made the brave decision to go home and into hospice care. With Karen at his side, he spent his final weeks focusing on his quality of life in comfortable surroundings with dignity, compassion and love from those around him.

Having cared for his ailing parents in previous years, his own health issues and recent covid events meant that Brad and Karen had an exceptionally long engagement. He made a special request asking if they could be wed before he passed away, and with the help of hospice staff, Brad and Karen were married in a beautiful ceremony in their home.  It was a joyous day where love was celebrated, and illness took a back seat for once.

The final weeks with Brad were a gift – filled with love, laughter, gratitude and tenderness. A special reunion with his brother Dave, his sister-in-law- Karen, and sister Brenda proved to be very memorable. All three siblings came together to reminisce and show their love and appreciation for each other one last time.

Brad is survived by his wife & best friend, Karen; Sister Brenda (Paul) Heilman of Shortsville, Brother David (Karen) Bennett of Heber Springs, Arkansas.    Children: Heather (Dan) Clark, Kellie (John) Fowler, Nicole (Rich) Gardner, Emily (Jamie) Duffield, Christopher (Felicia Huang) Billing.

Eileen M. O’Brien – Stokes ~ May 20, 2021

Bonita Springs, FL/Conesus Lake: On Thursday May 20, 2021 Eileen Mary O’Brien – Stokes, 77 years old, took her last breath within this world, surrounded by those she loved. She has now begun her eternal life where the Lord has called her home.Eileen Mary O’Brien-Stokes was born on September 17 in Rochester, New York to the late William and Alberta O’Brien. Eileen was an avid reader and was always willing to share a good book with anyone she met. Her philosophy was that a good book never remains idle on a shelf. In lieu of flowers, take a moment and share a good book with someone you know. Continue to pass that book on in Eileen’s memory. It would definitely make her smile.

James Wesley Stiner “Jimmy” – April 17, 2021

Livonia, NY/Rochester, NY:  James “Jimmy” Wesley Stiner, 41, of Livonia, NY,  passed away from a heart attack on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Anyone who had the honor to meet Jimmy would tell you that he was larger than life and one of the kindest souls to walk this earth. He always had a smile on his face and was always checking in on everyone he knew to make sure they were doing well. Jimmy loved to listen to music and dance and was especially fond of The Grateful Dead, Phish, and Twiddle. He was also a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan through and through. He was pure light and love in a world of increasing darkness. He will be sorely missed.

Jimmy worked for the local bricklayer union, BAC Local 11, for 15 years after graduating from Livonia High School in 1997. He suffered from a long-term addiction to drugs and alcohol, which led to his eventual rehabilitation in 2019. Since then, Jimmy worked steadily with Foodlink in Rochester, preparing and packaging food for local schools and helping distribute food to those in need in the greater Rochester area. Foodlink provided Jimmy an opportunity to get back on his feet through their Fellow program, and he was the first person in New York State to be licensed as a chef journeyman. Jimmy was so proud of the skills he learned there and the steps he was making in life. Above all, he was so proud to stay clean. It is a true irony of life for a heart attack to have taken him, just as he was beginning to truly thrive in society.

Jimmy is survived by one son, Joshua Wesley Stiner of Brighton, who was the love of his life, and his reason for living and staying sober, and former wife Amy Giebel of Brighton. He also leaves behind his parents, James Stiner, of Nauvoo, PA and Cindy Graham, of Liberty, PA; his brother, William (Jessica) Stiner of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandmothers, Tracy Ladue of Rochester and Wanda Graham of Liberty, PA; aunts and uncles Heather, Bob, Rick, Pete, and Gina; cousins Darick, Jesse, and Sloane; and many chosen family members and friends whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Melvin Graham of Liberty, PA, James Stiner of Canton, PA, and Robert Ladue of Rochester and uncle William.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, NY 14487.  All are welcome and tie-dye encouraged. No formal funeral service will be held and interment will take place privately.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either of the following foundations: To celebrate the journey of sobriety that Jimmy followed, donations can be made to WaterWheel’s Divided Sky Fund, Phish’s non-profit organization dedicated to opening a sobriety house in Ludlow, VT. Donations can be made at  http://trey.com/donate .

To celebrate his son Josh’s heart warrior journey, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester at  http://www.rmhcrochester. org/get-involved/donate/ . Josh was born with Congenital Heart Disease and the Rochester Ronald McDonald House was a huge support to Jimmy and their family through all of Josh’s heart surgeries and battles. Jimmy was passionate about The Children’s Heart Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House after this experience, and did all he could to raise funds and awareness toward CHD.

Daniel “Dan” Raymond Mulvaney II – April 16, 2021

Conesus, NY:  Daniel “Dan” Raymond Mulvaney II, 58, of Conesus, NY passed away from a brain aneurysm on Friday, April 16th, 2021.

Ask anyone in Livingston county (and the surrounding counties, too!), and they’ll tell you exactly what kind of man Dan was. He was a friend to all, always putting everyone else before himself. He was always willing to lend a hand, and he was always the first to ask how he could help.

Dan was a 1981 graduate of Livonia where he played football, volleyball, and sang in the Chorus, all while working to learn the ins and outs of the family farm. He was also a graduate of the two-year Agricultural Science program at Alfred State University in preparation to take over the farm.

He went on to run the family farm for nearly 40 years, milking cows twice a day, baling hay, harvesting crops, welding and fixing his own machines— 18 hours a day with no vacations. But the chores were never a chore for Dan— he loved being outside and was extremely proud to carry on the legacy of Mulvaney Farms. Even after making the decision to transition away from dairy farming, Dan maintained the land and the crops in partnership with his friend Adrian.

Dan was a lifelong resident of Conesus, and in 2019, he went to work for the Town Highway Department. This transition allowed him to continue working outside in the community he loved, while also affording him more flexibility in his schedule. He used that new schedule to his advantage, traveling to Europe, Chicago, and on many more local trips on the motorcycle with his beloved wife, Nancy.

His new schedule also allowed him to take up camping. Some of his fondest childhood memories were of camping with his parents and seven siblings, and he was able to rekindle that love in adulthood. Thanks to the guidance of his friends the Strollos, Sparks, and Loseys, he became an avid camper across the Finger Lakes region.

Dan loved everyone he met, but he held a special love for his children and especially his grandchildren. Of all his jobs throughout his life, his most cherished role was being “Papa Dan.” Tea parties in tiaras, hide and seek, flying kites, petting cows, and jumping in puddles were just some of his favorite activities. His home became known as “The House of Yes.”

Dan was predeceased by his father Daniel Mulvaney, his mother Shirley Donovan Mulvaney, and his dear cousin Jack Allen.

Dan is survived by his loving wife Nancy LoPresti Mulvaney; former wife Dawn Kornbau Mulvaney; children Kirstin Mulvaney, Tory (Byron) Danis, Jessica (Zach) Eason, and Donald (Stephanie) Hosie; grandchildren Kinley and Korbin Eason; siblings Marie (John) Henry, Ruthie (Fred) Nettnin, Becky Nau (Joe Zawadzki), Carol (Steve) Nichols, Margaret (Floyd) Watkins, Laura (Ken) Schoonover, and Robert (Bobbie Jo) Mulvaney; nieces and nephews Michelle Henry, Jennifer (Shane) Treuthart, Sheryl Henry, John Daniel “JD” Henry, Candy (Curtis) Gilley, Amy (Chris) Parsels, Mark (Melissa) Nau, Eric (Jesi) Nau, Josh (Sandra) Nichols, Dan (Shari) Nichols, CJ (Stephanie) Nichols, Sean (Hannah) Schoonover, Seth Schoonover (Kenzie Derleth), Makenna Mulvaney, Matthew Mulvaney, and Madelyn Mulvaney; beloved cousin and namesake Daniel “Dunk” Mulvaney; and many cherished grand nieces and nephews, loving cousins, neighbors, too many friends to mention, and one very special barn dog, Roxi.

A gathering of family and friends will take place in the summer. No formal calling hours or funeral service will be held. To honor Dan’s memory, the family asks that you have a beer, a glass of wine, or a cup of black coffee in his name; that you do something kind for someone in need; that you sign up to become an organ donor; and that you call the people you love and hold them close.

Dan’s activism and love of community stretched across so many different groups; it would be impossible to name them all. He lived his life to the absolute fullest, and he is now helping others do the same through his final gift of organ donation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UR Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network, 30 Corporate Woods, Suite 220, Rochester, NY 14623, referencing Daniel Mulvaney on the memo line.
