Joseph A Errigo “Joe” ~ April 27, 2020

Conesus:  At age 81, Joe passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, April 27, 2020.  He proudly served his country as a Marine and a NYS Legislator.  He took great pride in helping people.  He was a business owner and for 30 years worked in the court system as a court stenographer.  He was predeceased by his daughter; Kathy, his mother and father; Mary and Sam and his brother; Demetrio (Don).

Roger W. Semmel ~ April 25, 2020

Livonia:  At age 56, Roger passed unexpectedly on April 25, 2020.  Survived by his wife of 22 years, Cynthia (Werner) Semmel and son Brandon Semmel; parents Wayne and Joanne Semmel of Geneseo; and brother, Robert (Lisa) Semmel of Leicester.  Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Roger was born on December 9 th , 1963 in Warsaw, NY.  Roger grew up in Geneseo, NY where he would graduate from Geneseo Central in 1982. On May 23, 1998 Roger married Cindy (Werner) Semmel in Geneseo, NY.  They moved to Livonia in 2010.  He had a 27-year career with Wegmans where he was an electrical project manager.  Roger loved the outdoors as he loved hunting and fishing, he loved sports as he played football and threw in track and field throughout high school.  He would coach for many years through youth football and baseball and volunteer for the football, basketball, and lacrosse program at Livonia Central School.  He was a member of the Livonia Rotary and an active member in The United Methodist Church.  Roger loved being a part of the community and helping in any way he could whether that was volunteering at the Hemlock Fair or helping out with any sporting event he could.  Roger loved spending time with his family through sports, being in the outdoors, vacations, or being a part of his father’s race car team.  Roger was loved by many in the community as he positively affected so many people through his caring and selfless actions.

Brigitta R. Hassig ~ April 21, 2020

Conesus:  At age 78, Brigitta passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at her home in Conesus, NY with her son by her side.  She was born in Essen, Germany to the late Franz and Hildegard Feldman.  Brigitta is predeceased by her beloved husband; Joos Hassig.  Survived by her sons; Guido Hassig and Christian (Sochenda) Hassig, her brothers; Michael (Gisela) Feldman and Wolfram Feldman, former sister-in-law; Andrea Feldman, along with her two grandsons; Bryce and Logan Hassig.

Charles Paul Vendeville ~ April 21, 2020

Charles Paul Vendeville, 79 of Honeoye Falls, New York died on April 21, 2020. He was born on April 10, 1941 in Rochester, New York. The son of the late Edward Vendeville and the late Helen Uhl Vendeville and the brother of Edward Vendeville and Marie Vendeville Kautz.

Charles was employed at Kaddis Manufacturing in Honeoye Falls, NY for 48 years. He enjoyed Steam Shows, all different types of tractors, gardening and collecting unique clocks and watches. Charles was fiercely independent, intelligent and handy and if he couldn’t do it himself it didn’t need to be done! His quick wit and fun sense of humor will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Doris Ward Vendeville, four children Barbara (Mark)Travis of Delaware, OH, Charles (Barbara) Vendeville of North Ft Myers Beach FL, Sandy (Mark) Schmidt of Canadice, NY, Karen(Tom) Markgraf of Granville, OH: 7 grandchildren, Aimee Travis, Chris Sweet, Cara Vendeville, Matt Vendeville, Miranda Schmidt, Zelli Markgraf, Max Markgraf and 5 great grandchildren.

Helen M. Guadagna ~ April 15, 2020

Honeoye:  At age 85, Helen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Ontario Center in Canandaigua, NY.  She was born in Buffalo, NY to the late Michael and Michelina Longo.   Helen is survived by her beloved husband; Paul J. Guadagna, her son; Paul A. (Karen) Guadagna, her sister; Ann Maria (Joseph) Santonocito, her brother; Michael Longo, her grandson; Paul M. (Roxanne) Guadagna, and her great grandchildren; Paul F. Guadagna and Carissa Guadagna.

John L. Whiteman “Jack” ~ April 13, 2020

Livonia:  John “Jack” Whiteman passed peacefully on April 13, 2020 at age 75.  He was born in Wayland, NY on January 25, 1945 to the late Harold and Marion (Morgan) Whiteman.  Predeceased by his siblings; Harold “Pat” Whiteman and Gladys Swick. Survived by his wife Naiola (Tallman) Whiteman and children; Monica Whiteman (Michael Mallory) and Thomas (Tyler) Whiteman; grandchildren, Morgan, Emma, Ian, and Alex; siblings, William (Jean) Whiteman, Marge (Jim Renolds) Thompson, Jean Rowley, and Nancy (Richard) Smith.  Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many other loving family and friends.

Jack graduated from Livonia High School in 1963 and married his high school sweetheart, Naiola, on May 1, 1965. He had a 32 year career with Kodak retiring in 2004. Jack was an avid bowler participating in several leagues in the Livingston County area, was a longtime member of the Avon Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), and always enjoyed reading the paper, following local sports, and keeping up with the news.

Ann M. Meagher ~ April 9, 2020

Lakeville, NY/San Francisco, CA:  Ann passed peacefully at her home on April 9, 2020 at age 75.  She was born on August 22, 1944 in Bath, NY to the late James and Katherine (Pickard) Meagher.  Survived by her husband Mark E. Nickerson of Lakeville, her brother James C. Meagher of New York, NY and her aunt Marty Meagher of Darien, CT.  She is also survived by the extended family of beloved cousins, many dear friends, and her much loved dog Max.

Ann’s family lived in Avon, NY for several years and then moved to Penfield, NY where she graduated in 1962.  She received her BA in history from the University of Buffalo, and her Masters in Library Science from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.

Ann started out teaching and then did some traveling across Europe with an adventure travel company.  Due to enjoying traveling so much she started working in the travel industry.  She later became Vice President of Mana, Allison and Associates, a destination management company located in San Francisco, CA.  After marrying her husband she decided to retire in 2006 and then moved to the Livonia area which was a big part of their early years.

They bought a home in Lakeville and she continued to travel with her husband and her good friends.  Ann loved reading and stayed active in showing friends around when they came to visit, by joining two book clubs, boating on Conesus Lake and Yoga at Sweetbriar in Geneseo, NY.  She loved going to the movies and to Rochester with her cousin and friends where they would attend the various theaters, plays and such.

Teresa Kingston Coyne – April 8, 2020

AVON – Teresa Kingston Coyne, 81 years, of Avon died Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at her home. She was born in Geneseo, NY, on May 2, 1938, the daughter of Walter and Regina (Powers) Kingston.

Teresa leaves behind her four children and their families: Son Peter and his wife Lisa, grandchildren Brian, Rachel, William, wife Jennifer and Teresa’s great-grandson Bentley; Daughter Katie and husband Grant, grandchildren Wyatt, Maureen, and Teresa’s great-granddaughter Adelaide, Kelly and husband Tyler;  Daughter Joan and husband Doug; Son John and wife Shannon, grandchildren Sara Kate, Elizabeth and Edward.  She is further survived by two sisters, Ceil (Paul) Becker and Carol (Gerald) Coyne, as well as brother George (Mary Jo) Kingston.  Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ted and Dorothy Coyne, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Tom, parents Walter and Regina, siblings Mary Jean, Helen Pat, Walter, and Catherine, and several in-laws.

Teresa spent her entire life in the Genesee Valley, growing up just outside Geneseo and spending her adult life in Avon. The trip between the two towns along the east side of the valley was always cherished. Letchworth State Park and the Monastery held special places in her heart. Raised on her family’s farm, the youngest girl in a family of 10, she learned the value of hard work, service, and respect for the animals and the land. In 1958, Teresa married Tom Coyne. Throughout her marriage to Tom she worked in partnership with him on the farm and in their auction business. She was gifted at feeding both kids and calves and became an expert at writing ads and cashiering sales for Tom’s auction business. Following his passing, she was honored to work at Noblehurst Farms and Wegmans. She was a longtime member of the Livingston County Holstein Club and a 4-H leader. Saint Agnes Church, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, and the news of the day were essential in her life.

Teresa’s family would like to thank all of her nieces, nephews, and nurses who cared for Teresa in her final years.

The family and friends of Teresa K. Coyne are invited to celebrate her life at a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 10am at St. Agnes Church with Father Mike Fowler officiating.  Interment will follow at the St. Agnes Cemetery. Anthony J. Capecci “Tony” ~ April 6, 2020

Austin TX:  At age 34, Tony passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 6, 2020 in Round Rock, TX.  He was born in Hackensack, NJ to Robert and Mary Capecci.  Tony is predeceased by his mother; Mary Capecci.  Survived by his father; Robert (Jessica) Capecci, his siblings; Daniel Capecci, Lillie Capecci, and Peter Sawicki.

Tony was a brilliant mind who could not only beat you in chess blindfolded, but also always enjoyed a good fart joke. He would always find a way to make those around him laugh and bring joy to any situation. He had a deep love of all animals and for his three dogs Vinnie, Rocky and Louie who were among his closest companions. His mischievous grin always let you know that something funny was about to happen. Tony is beloved and missed by all who knew him.

Charlotte Bulmer (Ball) ~ April 04, 2020

Geneseo:  Charlotte, age 93, passed away on Saturday, April 04, 2020.  Charlotte is predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Bulmer, and daughter, Susan Swift.  She is survived by her son, Richard (Lynn) Bulmer of Taylors, South Carolina, and her daughter, Sharon Bulmer (Paul Frankel) of Rush, New York; her grandchildren:  Julie (Andrew) Montesano, Jared (Bonnie) Swift, Jeffrey (Samantha) Swift, and Justine Swift (Nicholas Hampton); and great-grandchildren:  Brandon, Nathan and Nicholas Montesano; Kayla, Alyssa, and Owen Swift; and Charlotte Swift.
