Robert L. Schmitt “Bob” ~ May 2, 2021

Bloomfield: At age 84, Robert passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 2nd, 2021 at the MM Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. He was born in Rochester, NY to the late Arthur and Irene Schmitt. Survived by his beloved wife of 57 years; Theresa Schmitt, his children; Marlene (James) Leuenberger, Lorraine Schmitt, Paul (Stacy) Schmitt, Carolyn (Charles) Roth, his sister; Evelyn Branch and his grandchildren; Jamie Leuenberger, Elise Leuenberger, Kevin Schmitt, Kyle Schmitt, Charles Roth, Benjamin Roth and Andrew Roth, along with his nieces; Barbara Branch and Eileen (Craig) Robillard.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish and would even bring the outdoors inside with him to practice his woodworking talent. As much as he loved the outdoors, his greatest love was spending time with his family. Bob will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will take place at 10AM on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 8624 Main Street in Honeoye.   3. I am so truly truly sorry for the great loss of this wonderful family. I was Babs aid for almost 3 years it was an honor and a blessing to have taken care of this wonderful man. there never was a day that he did not have a smlle for me and was happy to see me I felt the exact same way, I love him very much I have learned so much from him and Terry his beautiful wife I will forever be thankful to God to have brought them in my life. There’s a song by Vince Gill Go Rest High On That Mountain I’m mister mister You Go Rest High On That Mountain and I will see you again one day.
