Geneseo: June 29, 2021, at age 78 years, of natural causes. Survived by her daughter, Dr. Christine E. Brennan (Craig S. Feder) of Glen Ridge, NJ. Grandchildren: Liam Feder and Aurora Feder; sister-in-law Gladys (Walter) Riechmann of MN; nieces by marriage, Barb (Tom) Pedersen and Deb Riechmann. Also survived by so many dear friends and former colleagues.

Sandra (Sandy) passed away peacefully from natural causes. She was born in Odessa, Texas in 1942 and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She received a BA in Geology from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, in 1964. That same year she married William J. Brennan (d. 2016) and they remained together for more than 50 years. Early in her career she worked at the U.S. Geological Survey in Colorado and she taught high school math in Mt. Morris, NY shortly after moving to Livingston County in 1968. Sandy received a Master’s in Geology from the University of Buffalo in 1977. Beginning in 1978, she embarked on an impressive career at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in East Avon, NY. As Senior Engineering Geologist, she was the first woman to work at that location in a non-clerical position. From 1987 to 1996 she worked at the New York State DEC in Albany as Bureau Director of the Division of Mineral Resources. While in Albany she received a second Masters in Public Affairs from Rockefeller College at the University of Albany. In 1996 Sandy returned to the DEC in East Avon as Natural Resources Supervisor, where she was in charge of Minerals, Fish, Wildlife, Land and Forests, Wetlands, and the Genesee Valley Greenway. She retired in 2003 after 25 years of service.

Following her retirement, Sandy continued to pursue many wide-ranging interests, but especially in local government where she served Livingston County and the village of Geneseo in numerous capacities. She served as County President of the League of Women Voters, as a volunteer on the Geneseo Central School Board’s Citizen Advisory Committee on Energy and Conservation, as Vice Chairman of the Genesee Valley Environmental Association, as a member of the Village Board for 12 years and as Deputy Mayor for 6 years. Her tireless efforts in support of the community is perhaps her most enduring legacy. In 2019 the Geneseo Young at Heart Club and the Town of Geneseo recognized her as a Geneseo Seniorama Honoree.

In retirement Sandy also worked as a certified and award-winning mediator for the Center for Dispute Settlement for 16 years. She served as a member of the Board of the Livingston County Historical Society Board for 5 years, 3 of those years as President. Sandy was also actively involved in numerous clubs, such as the Monday Evening Class where she served as Vice President and President and as a member of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. A consummate world traveler, Sandy was always ready to leave on a moment’s notice whether it be Paris or Kathmandu. As a lover of nature and the environment, she was committed to preserving flora and fauna of all kinds for future generations.

Avon:  June 28, 2021 at age 86.  Edna worked in the hematology labs for several years at the University of Rochester.  Afterwards she enjoyed family trips across the United States many times with her husband and 3 children.  Then she enjoyed her kids as they grew older and her grandchildren as each one came about.

She is survived by her children; Marian Tuchrello, Michael (Michele) Tuchrello, and Stephen (Kimberly) Tuchrello; 5 grandchildren, Nicole, Garrett, Michael Jr., Cayden, and Taylor Belle; 4 great-grandchildren, Emory, Leo, Colton, and Brooks; sister Darlene and brothers Marvin, Marion (Jill), and Francis (Gail); many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband Michael Leo Tuchrello, parents Marian and Irvin Schultz, sisters Phyllis and Lois, and brothers Edward and Phillip.

York/Dansville/Livonia:  Robert “Bob” W. Farr, age 75, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2021 in the arms of his wife Jennifer J. (Crane), ending his long battle with Parkinson’s.

Born in Rochester on June 2, 1946, Bob was raised in York, graduating York Central High School in 1965.  He proudly served in the Navy prior to beginning his career as Journeyman/Foreman working out of IBEW Local 86.  Bob married Jen on June 30, 1973, living in Rochester before moving to Dansville in 1989.  His proudest accomplishments were being a friend to all and devoted husband, son, and father to Daniel, Carrie and Rebecca.  He was particularly proud to support Jen as she pursued her college degrees as a non-traditional student, as well as his children’s educational and career accomplishments.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jennifer; son Daniel Farr (Daniel Hoffman), daughter Carrie (Darwin) McPherson, Rebecca (James) DiSalvo; grandchildren Ian, Gavin, and Tristan McPherson and Ella DiSalvo; sisters Linda Ludwig and Lisa (Les) Schell; brother-in-law Matthew Crane; sister-in-law Melissa (John) Restuccia; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents Warren and Audrey (Derrenbacher) Farr; in-laws John and Diane (Archer) Crane; brother-in-law Michael Ludwig; and sister-in-law Jessica Crane.

Groveland:  At age 89, Bill passed peacefully on June 26, 2021 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia.  He was born on October 3, 1931 in Sodus, NY to the late Clarence W. Burrus Sr. and Ethel (Pennock) Burrus Webster.  In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Clarence W. Burrus III “Bud”, grandson Jamie Burrus Taylor, and his sisters, Edna, Dorothy, and Molly.

Bill enjoyed a long and full career over the years. As a young man, he worked in the family grocery store.  He drove tractor trailer early on for a while, Bill also worked for several years at Foster Wheeler in Dansville. For a number of years he was self-employed as a contractor. For a short time he drove charter bus for Great Lakes and Empire Trailways, Bill then finish out his career driving tractor trailer for J&J and Ryder Logistics Transportation.

Bill will always be remembered for his generous heart and humor.

Conesus, NY:  At age 80, Douglas M. Henderson of Conesus, NY passed away peacefully on June 23, 2021 at Noyes Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Doug is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Elizabeth Henderson and his grandson Alexander Henderson.

Doug was born on March 10, 1941 in Rochester, NY.  He is survived by his longtime companion, Jane Henderson; children, Scott Henderson, Heather Henderson, and Shawn (Lisa) Henderson, Dawn Kennedy, David (Donna) Losey, and Jeff (Vicky) Losey; grandchildren, Shawna Henderson, Cristina Vergne, Lorenzo Vergne, Matthew Hicks, Gregory Henderson, Abigale Henderson, Therica Farley, Brandon Tuttle, Joshua Losey, John Priestly, Matthew Losey, Chelsey Losey, Amanda Garwood, Clifford Yeoman Jr, Curtis Yeoman, Casey Yeoman and several great-grandchildren.  Also survived by his sister Joan (Stanley) Jacobs.

Doug was an avid study of Native American History and Culture.  He spent his time “Point Hunting”, walking freshly plowed fields for Native American Arrowheads, as well as other tools used.  Doug had an eye for finding these precious and amazing artifacts.  He also had spent time sharing his knowledge of local Native American Life with classrooms and those who were interested.

After a decades-long battle with cancer, James Michael Sheehan of Livonia passed suddenly but peacefully at 2:50pm on Saturday, June 19, at the age of 70 with his family by his side.

Born in Warsaw, Jim started out working on the family farm and for the family school bus company before taking a job at Westinghouse in Attica. In 1985, he started as a Corrections Officer with the NYS Department of Corrections and worked his way up to retire as a Lieutenant in 2010. During his career, he sometimes had to work downstate and when he did he would find a Catholic church; he said going to mass would make wherever he was feel like home. He was a parishioner of St. Matthew’s Church in Livonia.

Throughout his long battle with cancer, he was brave and positive, inspiring his family as he faced treatments, tests, and procedures. His family hopes to borrow his strength. He made a point of knowing all the names of all his nurses and doctors; he would ask about their families or their sports teams. They all loved his smile.

Jim was the very best friend and husband of 47 years to his wife, Judy (nee Werner) Sheehan. His children aspire to his relationship with Judy and the love between them. He was a devoted father and grandfather who was never happier than when he was around his family: his three loving children, Annie (Jamie) Parry, Michael (Mary) Sheehan, and Paul, and his seven grandchildren, James, Jacob, Emily, Isabel, Matthew, Beatrice, and Finnegan. He wanted his grandkids around all the time and they wanted to be around him because he made them feel they were perfect exactly as they are. He never missed their volleyball, softball, baseball games, or swim meets; their plays, academic events, recitals, and dances. They all carry his commitment to family, his work ethic, and they all tell his jokes and stories.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Evelyn Sheehan, and his brother Tom and sister Mary. He is survived by four brothers, John (Jackie), Kevin (Mary), George (Jade), Carl (Jean), and two sisters, Kathy Ackerman and Joan Kibler, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

He was a lifelong Yankees fan. He was so funny and redefined “patriarch” as a goofball who radiates love. He was the perfect combination of generous and kind and wickedly mischievous. His large heart and sense of humor were an inspiration to many. Our loss is devastating, but it’s hard not to smile just thinking about him. There’s more to say, endless things to say, but we are so grateful that he lives on through the love he gave his family. We all wish we were as great as we were in his (often embellished) stories.

Canaseraga, NY:  At age 83, Kathryn passed peacefully on June 18, 2021 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s.  She was born on August 9, 1937 in Hornell, NY to the late Claude and Blanche Parker.  In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband James A. Renwand Sr. and children; Joseph C. Renwand, Jerry A. Renwand, and Carol L. Carpenter.  Survived by children; James (Wendy) Renwand Jr. of Greenwood, Carla (Gerry) Brzezinski of Livonia, and Cindy (Buddy) Getman of Alfred; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she loved dearly; sister Doris Dailey of Hornell; many nieces and nephews.

Kathryn grew up in Almond, NY and graduated from Alfred-Almond Central School.  She was always proud that she and a friend were the first women to join the Future Farmers of America (FFA.)  Her life centered around her family, her children and grandchildren.  Kathryn was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years.  She retired from Gunlocke in Wayland, NY after being there for over 30 years.

Rochester/Canandaigua:  At age 82, John passed peacefully on June 14, 2021 at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center.  He was born on May 18, 1939 to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Tennant) McAdam.  In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by his twin sister Joan Rice, sister Margaret Matheson, and brothers-in-law Vincent Matheson and John W. Martin, II.  Survived by siblings; Elizabeth Martin and Robert (Mary) McAdam; brother-in-law Eric Rice; many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

After high school John joined the US Navy and served from 1962 to 1967.   Following his military service he returned to Rochester and worked at Eastman Kodak in the Security Division for many years.  John lived a full life, proud of his Scottish Heritage, and was a people person.  He was a resident of Fountain Street in the City for a considerable number of years and in his neighborhood helped maintain Swillburg Park.  He was a competitive ballroom dancer for over three decades, walked five miles a day, was a licensed barber for over 40 years, and enjoyed volunteering at the RPO, the Auditorium Theatre, and the George Eastman House.

Dansville/Livonia:  On June 8, 2021, Wayne B. Frisbie Jr. passed unexpectedly at age 48.  He was predeceased by his mother Jeannine Frisbie in 2015.  Survived by his loving wife Ami (Waldinsperger) Frisbie of Dansville and children; Jacob Frisbie and Jayde Waldinsperger both of Dansville; his father Wayne B. Frisbie Sr.; siblings, Darlene (Steve) Lawton and Kenny (Deanna) Frisbie; father-in-law Joe Waldinsperger and mother-in-law Bobbi (Bill) Litteer.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Wayne grew up in Livonia, NY where he excelled in sports and was very proud that he was recruited from High school to the Braves as a catcher, but after an injury and unable to play Wayne enlisted in the military as a marine in the infantry division. After serving his country he received his truck driver certification and worked for a national trucking company for almost 20 years as a feeder driver where he received many awards for his exemplary driving skills. Wayne was the type of person who always had a smile on his face and greeted everyone as a good friend with a big hug. He was funny and sometimes goofy but one of the best people you would ever meet. His nickname at home was MacGyver because he could fix anything, solve any problem and was always willing to help everyone and anyone. He was known to stop and help stranger who needed help. Wayne did everything with his family, and was happiest spending time with his wife and children. He prided himself as a master Griller and loved to cook for family and friends. He always had a funny story to tell and loved to make people laugh. Wayne was the best husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, neighbor, and patriot. He made all our lives better just for being around. Wayne was the type of man most strive to be. Unfortunately, our country denied Wayne re-entry back into the U.S. and he had to stay alone in a country where he didn’t speak the language and was given 3 ^rd world country health care. His young family and all of his friends are devastated to lose such a wonderful man. The world needs more people like him not less. As per his wishes, “please remove me from voter registration so I don’t vote democrat and have to come back and haunt people.”-Wayne.

Honeoye, NY:  June 7, 2021 at age 88 years.  Myron was born on March 2, 1933 in Canandaigua, NY to the late Charles and Esther (Francis) Blackmer.  In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by his wife Ruth M. Blackmer in 2016 and brother Raymond Blackmer.  Survived by children; Wayne (Jan) Blackmer of Honeoye, John Blackmer of Honeoye, and Linda (Jeff) Miller of Canandaigua; grandchildren, Charles (Serena), Amanda, Jessica, and Gretchen Blackmer; great-grandchildren, Lexa, Ian, Julie, Clara and Maddie; sister Sandy (Edward) Gates and brother Maxwell (Barbara) Blackmer; sisters-in-law, Joyce, Mary Alice, Joanne, and Nancy.   Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Myron graduated from Honeoye School and then served in the US Army from 1953 until 1955, when he was honorably discharged.  He was a skilled craftsman, a hard worker, and was well known for his siding expertise and exterior construction skills.  Myron was also a Lifetime Member of the Richmond Fire Department.

Honeoye Falls:  Bradley “Brad” Bennett, passed away peacefully on May 31 ^st , 2021 at the age of 61 yrs.  He was surrounded with much love from his wife, Karen and sister, Brenda.

Born in Lubbock, TX to the late Roger & Sylvia “Janet” Bennett, Brad grew up in Honeoye, NY and graduated from Honeoye Central in 1978.

He had a long and fulfilling career in the tire industry, managing retail operations, then heading up major wholesale divisions- where he was well respected and knowledgeable in his field.  Fifteen of those years were spent working for (now retired owners- the Miller Bros) of W. Glenn Sedam, Inc. of Perry, NY.  He had lifelong friendships with former employers, co-workers, customers and industry contacts alike.

An avid sports fan, Brad enjoyed dirt track racing, the Rochester Red Wings, the Buffalo Bills and Syracuse basketball.  Vacations were always better when it included stops in Cooperstown for the Baseball Hall of Fame and a chance to soak in the atmosphere there.  He was in his glory when attending baseball games.

In late April, battling cirrhosis, renal failure, Parkinson’s Disease and complications with diabetes, Brad made the brave decision to go home and into hospice care. With Karen at his side, he spent his final weeks focusing on his quality of life in comfortable surroundings with dignity, compassion and love from those around him.

Having cared for his ailing parents in previous years, his own health issues and recent covid events meant that Brad and Karen had an exceptionally long engagement. He made a special request asking if they could be wed before he passed away, and with the help of hospice staff, Brad and Karen were married in a beautiful ceremony in their home.  It was a joyous day where love was celebrated, and illness took a back seat for once.

The final weeks with Brad were a gift – filled with love, laughter, gratitude and tenderness. A special reunion with his brother Dave, his sister-in-law- Karen, and sister Brenda proved to be very memorable. All three siblings came together to reminisce and show their love and appreciation for each other one last time.

Brad is survived by his wife & best friend, Karen; Sister Brenda (Paul) Heilman of Shortsville, Brother David (Karen) Bennett of Heber Springs, Arkansas.    Children: Heather (Dan) Clark, Kellie (John) Fowler, Nicole (Rich) Gardner, Emily (Jamie) Duffield, Christopher (Felicia Huang) Billing.

Brad was “Papa” to 9 grandchildren – Joseph, Chloe, Kyle, Caleb, Brodie, Mallory, Danielle, Olivia and Robin, and 1 great-grandchild – Carter.

A private memorial will be held later date.  Interment will also be held privately at Lakeview Cemetery in Honeoye, NY.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution in Brad’s name to:
