Nadina K. Stevens

Naples: Nadina K. Stevens, 71 years,of County Road 12, Naples died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia. She was born in Cadosia, NY, December 3, 1936 the daughter of Earl and Hazel Kingsbury. She was a longtime member of the Naples Central School Board where she served as President for 7 years. Also, she served on the Regional BOCES Board for 20 years. She was a self employed Real Estate Broker who also served on the South Bristol Town Board. Nadina was a member of the Naples Rotary Club where she served as President for a term.

She is survived by her children, Scott (P.J.) Stevens III, of Idaho, George (Cindy) Stevens of Arizona, David (Jeannie) Stevens of Virginia and Brenda Stevens of Naples. 9 grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. Nephew, Ronnie Kingsbury. Several cousins.

Joyce N. Manzer

Canandaigua: Joyce N. Manzer age 75 years, of Canandaigua, NY formerly of Phoenix and Liverpool, NY died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the MM Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. She was born in Windsor, NY, December 11, 1932 the daughter of Eddie L. and Esther R. DeVaul Ottman. Prior to retirement, she was employed as the office manager at the Robert Bonney Agency in Baldwinsville, NY.

Joyce’s great loves were her family and friends. She was always there for those she loved, and she always took care of them. Other things that brought joy into her life were her collections of designer teddy bears and antique and reproduction dolls, traveling and sightseeing, and country and western music. She enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, who equally adored her.

After her retirement, Joyce spent time each week volunteering at the Syracuse Nursing Home and really loved spending time with her special friends there. When the time came that she needed care herself, she lived for a time at Horizons Assisted Living Facility in Canandaigua and at the MM Ewing Continuing Care Center, where she earned the nickname “Sparky”.

Joyce was a special light in the lives of many. She will be greatly missed and carried in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her children, John Grant and Jean Grant both of Florida. Step-children, Alan (Janice) Manzer of Phoenix, NY, Roseanne (Ray) Breidigan of Muir,PA, Barbara Coomber of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Nancy (Jim) Manzer Vollbrecht of Vienna, Virginia. 11 grandchildren, Amy, Reasa, John,Jr., Tara, Angel, Matthew, Jesse, Benjamin, Zachary, Cecelia, and Nathan. 8 great-grandchildren. Sisters, Frances (Norman) Wilmot, Doris Matthews, and Lois White all of Florida. Brothers, Carl (Beverly) Ottman of Johnson City, NY and Bruce (Florence) Ottman of Johnson City, NY. several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Clyde R. Kramer “Barney”

Livonia: Clyde R. Kramer, 88 years, of 5 Wildbriar Drive in Livonia died Thursday October 23, 2008 at Highland Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness. He was born in Valencia, PA., June 1, 1920, the son of George and Edna Hoffman Kramer. A Navy Veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Avon VFW Post 5292 and the American Legion. An avid coin collector, he was a member of the neumsmatic society. He also was very involved with baseball card trading. He was a retiree of Lucidol in Piffard, NY.

Barney was predeceased by his wife, Alice and their son Eugene Kramer. He is survived by his children, Clyde Kramer, Jr. of Livonia, Barbara (Claude) VanVolkenburg of Livonia, James (Jean) Kramer of Houston, Texas, Gary (Kerri) Kramer of Avon. Daughter-in-law, Juanita Kramer of Houston, Texas. 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. 2 Brothers, Glenn Kramer of Scottsville and James (Peg) Kramer of Valencia, PA. 1 Sister, Myrtle Werling of Oregon. several nieces & nephews.

Dorothy D. Owens

Dansville: Dorothy D. Owens, 79 years, of Main St. Dansville, NY died Sunday evening, October 19, 2008, at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia, where she had been a patient for a short period of time.. She was born in Scottsville, NY, December 5, 1928 the daughter of Claude E. and Muriel May Snover. Throughout her career, she worked a variety of jobs including being a sales representative at the former Margaret C. Mack Real Estate Agency in Dansville. She was a member of the Audobon Society, the Nature Conservancy and the ASPCA. She was a very loyal and faithful fan of the Buffalo Bills, attending a game as recently as September to root her favorite team on to victory.

She is survived by her children, John C. (Linda) Owens,Jr. of Canaseraga, Richard J. Owens of Beaverton, Oregon, Virginia LaCrow of Arlington, Mass., William Owens of Honeoye, NY and Jill Owens of Lewiston, Maine. 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. several nieces and nephews.

Robert S. Bulmer “Joe”

Livonia/Conesus Lake: Robert Sanderson Bulmer of East Lake Road in Livonia died Thursday October 16, 2008 at age 80 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Charlotte. His son Richard (Lynn) Bulmer of San Jose California; His daughters Susan (Edward) Swift of Livonia and Sharon Bulmer of Rochester, NY. Grandchildren: Julie (Andrew) Montesano, Jared (Bonnie) Swift, Jeffrey Swift, and Justine Swift. Five great- grandchildren; and sisters Margaret Farr and Donna MacArthur.

Robert was born in Conesus, NY on March 8, 1928 the son of Oliver Bulmer and Florence Vyner. Prior to retirement he was a plumber/steamfitter for New York State working at the Industry State School for Boys in Rush, NY. Robert served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1945-1946.

William D. Dow

Springwater: William D. Dow, 62 years, of 6987 Canadice Lake Road in Springwater, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the home of his daughter, Jennifer. He was born in Saranac Lake, NY February 3, 1946, the son of Floyd and Anna Gill Dow. Bill was a Viet Nam Army Veteran serving from 1966 through 1968. Prior to reitrement, he was employed as an instrument control foreman at Rochester Gas and Electric.

Bill was predeceased by his wife Barbara on February 26, 2004 and his brothers Denton Dow and Vernon Dow.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer Dow of Rochester, Amy Dow of Florida, Lisa Dow and Lance Dow both of Rochester, Tammy (Gary) Wilson of Livonia, John Hill of FLorida and Rob (Donna) Hill of Springwater. 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. His brother James Dow of Florida. Sisters-in-law, Edna (Phil May) Coykendall of Hemlock, Donna (Nelson) Mastin of Honeoye, Brothers-in-law, Don (Bonnie) Henrickson of Hemlock and Bobby (Vanessa) Henrickson of Hemlock. Margaret J. Bayne “Maggie”

Geneseo: Margaret J. “Maggie” Bayne of 16 East South Street Geneseo, died early Saturday morning October 11, 2008 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitaion in Mt. Morris. She was born in Bushnells Basin, NY January 24, 1925 the daughter of Fred and Dora Stewart Bayne. She was predeceased by her brother Fred Bayne, her grandson, Kevin J. Shinebarger and former husband Robert Shinebarger, with whom she remained close until his passing in 2003.
She is survived by her son, Steven (Shirley) Shinebarger of Conesus Lake and Naples, FL. her daughter and very best friend, Darla (Scott) Standish of Geneseo. Grandchildren, Samantha (Shane) Rivera, Adam (Betsy) Standish, Dr. Steven Shinebarger, Brian Shinebarger and “the light of her life”, Great-Granddaughter Aubrey J. Rivera. Her sister, June (Bob) McDaniels of Hornell and brother Herbert (Carol) Bayne of Hornell. several nieces and nephews.

Maggie was a life long NY Yankee fan and a friend to all animals. A wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, she will be missed by all of her family.

Livonia: Charles E.A. Wohlganger, 84 years, of Cadyville Road Livonia died Sunday October 5, 2008 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. He was born in Rochester the son of Carl E. A. and Rosa H.J. Herbst Wohlganger. He was a retired HVAC technician from Ancoma in Rochester and a member of Local 313. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann Swift Wohlganger, who died in 1986.

Caledonia: Dawn M. Herington, age 43 years, of Leicester Street, Caledonia died Friday, October 3, 2008 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Rochester, January 25, 1965 the daughter of Gabriel and Georgiann Kuhn Marconi. She attended schools in Hilton, NY, Fingerlakes Comminity College and Buffalo State.
