Honeoye:  At age 31, Ashley passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her home in Honeoye.  She was born on January 27, 1993, in Rochester, NY.  Ashley is predeceased by her sister, Stefanie Baker, and her grandparents, Marian and John Warner.  Survived by her loving parents, Frank Warner Sr. and Tammy (Weaver) Baker, her siblings, Frank (Corinne) Warner Jr., Trina (Chris) Ruppert, Christina (Joe) Minisce, her grandparents, Joan and Paul Schumacher, her aunts, Tonda (Kirk) Herman, Wendy Muniz and Uncle J.P. Weaver, many cousins and several nieces and nephews, Samantha and Lucas Ruppert, Chase and Victoria Minisce and Landon and Ayla Warner, her loving partner, Dylan Jobson and loving dog Ellie along with many friends.

Ashley brought so much joy and true, unconditional love into this world. The kind where no distance, situation, or force ever changed that.  The kind of love she showed for others, especially family came so effortlessly and genuinely-always without judgment, and always without condition.  That sort of love is so very rare in this world, and yet it flowed from her in excess, touching everyone and everything she ever came in contact with.  Her smile lit up a room, her beauty was like no other, she will be missed for all eternity to all who loved her.  She will always be Mommy and Daddy’s Blue-Eyed Monkey. Dorothy graduated from Honeoye High School in 1966.  She went on to work as a custodian for 32 years in the Rush Henrietta School District.  Dorothy was an officer in the New York State Women’s Bowling 600 Club since 1999.

Geneseo:  At age 72, Julia Strom, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, passed peacefully on July 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on June 10, 1952, in Rochester, NY to the late Carl and Catherine (Fallon) Claus.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Francis Claus.  Survived by her husband, of 27 years, Daniel A. Strom and children; Kaylee (Joe) Tumonis of Slingerlands, Daniel (Betsy) Strom of Avon, Elyse Strom of Livonia, Erin Audino of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, Lilly Lang, Casey Lang, Rylann Lang, Genny Strom, Joey Tumonis, Gwen Strom, Mikey Tumonis, Elsa Lang, and Ryan Tumonis; sister Carolyn (Michael) Vasile; brothers, Thomas (Ann) Claus, and Ray (Amy) Claus; sister-in-law Debbie Claus; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Julie graduated from Dayton University.  After graduation, she began a 30-year career with M&T Bank, beginning as a teller working her way to a Vice President and commercial branch manager.  Her career brought her from Rochester, NY to Westminster, MD, in 2003, as she was asked to relocate for the AllFirst conversion.  Julie ended her career with M&T Bank back home in Rochester.  Julie was loved by her customers and colleagues.  She was also the first woman to join the Webster Kiwanis Club. 

Julie had a true zest for life.  She enjoyed golfing, dinner parties, euchre with friends, shopping, trips with her siblings, and reading.  She was an expert at decorating tables at holidays.  Julie and Dan spent their winters playing golf, swimming, and enjoying the sun-kissed beaches of Florida.  They loved entertaining friends and family from up north and made many wonderful friends in the Barefoot Bay community.  Julie was a fiercely loyal friend and was always there for anyone who needed her. 

More than anything, Julie loved her family.  Julie and her daughter, Kaylee, were the dynamic duo for a period of time.  Their wish for a larger family came true when Julie married the love of her life, Dan, and became a mother to Danny, Elyse and Erin. She loved them all so much.  Julie’s adoration of her children was only matched by the love she had for her grandchildren.  She loved nothing more than attending their sporting events, birthday parties, or cuddling under a blanket on the couch with them. 

Julie displayed immense grace during the past ten-months of her cancer diagnosis.  Despite her failing health, she always maintained her positive approach to life.  Full of love, laughter and resilience, Julie’s strength and courage were an inspiration.  Though she is no longer with us in body, Julie’s spirit lives on through the love we share and the stories we tell.

Honeoye: At age 69, Herb passed away on July 6, 2024, at home with his family by his side. He was born on December 31, 1954, to the late Herbert E. and Rosemarie (Martino) Babcock. Fred Arthur Jordan passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on July 1, 2024, at Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY, after several weeks of care with his family by his side. Born on April 10, 1938, in Buffalo, NY, he was the cherished son of Fred and Emily Jordan. Raised in Cortland, NY, Fred was recognized as the most gifted and artistic member of his family, a trait that flourished throughout his life.

Fred proudly served in the Army from 1960 to 1962, where he honed his discipline and dedication—qualities that greatly benefitted his professional and personal endeavors. After his military service, he embarked on a distinguished career as a rare bookbinder. Renowned in the rare book and library community, Fred dedicated his life to restoring thousands of notable books, breathing new life into each page and cover. His meticulous work not only preserved literary history but also inspired a generation of students across Europe and the United States, whom he mentored passionately in the art of bookbinding.

Beyond his professional life, Fred was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fly fishing and hunting. His love for the outdoors was paralleled by his commitment to restoring his 200-year-old house into a stunning showpiece, a testament to his skill and patience. Fred’s sense of humor, love for travel, and the memories of every national park he visited enriched the lives of his friends and family.

Fred is survived by his loving wife Eleanor; children, Fred Jordan (Traci), Jennifer (Mark), and Julie (Jerry Fedele); and Todd (Sharon), a special friend and colleague. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Emily Jordan.

Perry: At age 89, Peggy passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024, into the presence of her Heavenly Father at WCSN Facility in Warsaw, NY.  She was born April 5, 1935 in Lakeville, NY to the late Theodore and Gertrude (Waide) Klick.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Beverly (Donald) Lewis.  She is survived by her sister Joyce (Jim) Banker and loving nieces, nephews and caregivers.

Peggy lived most of her adult life in Perry, NY at the Lakeview IRA and Perry IRA Group Homes, where her lively personality brought joy and humor to her devoted caregivers and staff. Her love of spending time in the company of others, Sunday afternoon outings with family for ice-cream, cups of coffee and music were great pleasures for her.  We were so blessed to have Peggy in our lives. We are beyond grateful for all the caregivers over the years who lovingly supported and cared for Peggy.  She courageously lived out each day, enduring her disabilities, without ever realizing her special impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Conesus: Irene passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the age of 82. Irene is predeceased by her parents Harold and Alice Gannon, husbands, Antonio Medina, Delmer Steiner Sr., and Commy Noah, daughter, Carmen Medina, brothers, Henry, Arthur, and Yjoseph, sisters, Isabel, Elthia, and Emily. She is survived by her children, Joseph (Judy) Medina, Delmer (Laura) Steiner Jr., Lisa (Michael) Williams, Pearl Cappadonia (Mike Demunn), and Alice (James) Gurgel. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.               

Irene will be remembered for her fondness of playing euchre, going to the casino, and traveling with her family. She retired from Kraft Foods and she truly liked to work there. After her retirement, she was a senior companion taking care of those who needed help.

Mt. Morris/Livonia: At age 69, Mike passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, in Rochester NY. He was born in Rochester on August 26, 1954. He was the second child to the late Eleanor L. and Joseph R. Morris Sr. Mike is also predeceased by his beloved wife, Debbie Morris, his sister-in-law, Ellen Calhoun, and nephews, Christopher Copeland and Stephen Morris. Survived by his daughter, Heather Morris (Ryan Huntington), his siblings, Joseph Morris Jr., Patricia (Randy Remming) Copeland, Kathy (John) Blanchard, Sheila (Paul) Bedard, Maureen (Ken) Smith, and Eileen (Jeff) Fugle, his grandchildren, Natalie Tschiderer, Nolan Huntington, and Layla Morris, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mike was always willing to help people, and he was a very compassionate guy. He loved to goof around, as all of his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and grand-nieces and nephews will tell you. He made friends easily and stood by his friends in good times and bad. If he was able to do something for you there was never any expectation of something in return.

Mike was a proud Union Member and drove in the family Turbo Taxi business for years. He also worked for John Bartz building homes.

His sense of humor kept him amused, sometimes to the chagrin of his siblings. He threatened to run for sheriff, which we were never sure if he would actually try. We’re going to miss you, Mike.

Conesus:  On Wednesday, June 26, 2024 Richard took his last jet flight up in the blue sky to be with his son Jay.  Rick passed peacefully with Barb by his side at their home.  He was the last sibling from his parents, the late Peter and Helen Nowakowski of Lackawanna.  He and Barb (Schuster) celebrated 67 years with his surviving children:  Jeffrey (Janet) Nowakowski of New Orleans, LA; Jo Ann (Walter, Major General Ret.) Golden of Colorado Springs, CO; and John (Diane) Nowakowski of Oklahoma City, OK; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by sisters-in-law Rose and Alice Ann Schuster, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Rick graduated from Lackawanna High School and Erie Community College.  He served in the US Army from 1957-1960 and graduated from the Army Language School studying Korean at the Presidio of Monterey in CA.  He was also stationed at Fort Meade in Maryland and later worked with the National Security Agency as a cryptologist.  After his military service Rick was employed for many years with G.L.F. as a chemist.  He was also the Justice of Peace in Conesus for one term and later became the Assessor for the Town of Conesus and the Town of Caledonia, retiring in 1996 with 20 years of service.  Rick was very involved with model airplanes and was a member of the Genesee Valley Aero Modelers.

Honeoye: Linda J. Bennett, 79, of Honeoye, passed away due to a complication of Parkinson’s Disease on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024.

Born on September 7th, 1944, in Cobleskill, NY, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Koker) Baker.

A graduate of Cobleskill Central School’s Class of 1962, and State University of New York, Albany, 1966 as an Educator. She started her career as a 12th grade Math Teacher and continued her career as a Student Loan Specialist as well as a mom and a housewife.

Linda was an avid traveler, who lived every day to the fullest, enjoying her love of birds, chocolate, lake life, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband: Donald R. Bennett, her sisters: Betty VanVoris, Evelyn Garber, Judith Lord, and a step-grandson: Riley Bogac.

Livonia, NY:  Bill passed unexpectedly on June 15, 2024 at the age of 79.  He was born on April 5, 1945 in Rochester, NY to the late James and Florence (VanPutten) Eve.  In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Andrew “Drew” Eve and his brothers; Donald (Florence) Eve and Richard (Susan) Eve.

Survived by his wife Mary Hill; son, Michael Eve (Ashley Cornell), brother James (Judy) Eve, daughters, Pamela Morrison and Barbara (James) Melby; and son Barton Andrew (Tasha) Downey.  Also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends in the Livonia Community.

Bill graduated from Williamson High School and soon after joined the US Army serving from 1964-1967, including 13 months in Korea.  He attended college at the Rochester Institute of Technology and later in life also attended Genesee Community College.  He worked for many years as a Registered Nurse with Lifetime Care in Rochester, NY.  Bill was a giving and helpful person, he joined the Livonia Fire Department in the 1980’s and was a Lifetime Member.  Bill loved the Livonia Community and loved retirement!  He was an avid bicyclist who enjoyed riding locally and even rode around all the Finger Lakes.

He was born in Corning, NY to the late Charlene and Gary Knapp Sr. Survived by his beloved wife of 7 years, Sara Knapp; his former wife, Penny Rosenzweig; his children, Carolann (Jeromy) Cartwright, Jamie Lynn (Stephen) Brown, Andrea Knapp, Pamela (Jason) Watrous, Shane Knapp, Jacob Knapp, and Victoria Everley, along with his 5 siblings, 13 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Known for his generosity, loyalty, and always ready and willing to lend a helping hand.  Jamie’s passing leaves a hole in our community and he will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to call from 4-6 PM on Monday, June 24, 2024, at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia, where Jamie’s memorial service will take place immediately following calling hours at 6 PM.
