He was born in East Springwater, NY, September 3, 1929 the son of Lewis and Agnes Kurtz Luckenbach. He was a retired Supervisor from the State School at Industry. He also had been employed by Eastman Kodak and the former Stylex Homes in Scottsville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed and accomplished much working with his hands. Norm was also a former member of the Livonia Fire Department.

He was predeceased by his son Robert; and grandchildren, Jeremy Churchfield, Jamie and Tammy Gordon. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan Wester Luckenbach; his children, Sheila Gordon of South Dakota, Sharon (Doug) Churchfield of Groveland, Mary (Ralph) Allison of Livonia, and Jim (Patty) Luckenbach of Wayland. 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren. Sister, Reva Kent of Florida. Several nieces and nephews.

Brent (BR) Richard Rossborough, age 32 years, died Monday, November 7, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born July 19, 1979 in Rochester, NY, son of Richard Rossborough and Laurie Tallman.

BR, as he is fondly remembered, by is survived by his father, Richard E. Rossborough (Suzanne), his mother, Laurie (Steven) A Parfitt, Sisters; Jaime Rossborough, Katlyn (Nathan) Schuttee, Amanda (Joshua) Parfitt. Grandparents; Dick & Janet Rossborough, Jeanne Webster, and Joyce Parfitt. Two nieces; Nadia D. Lemmon and Victoria R. VanDlievert. falkowski2Hemlock: Reginald J. “Roger” Falkowski , age 79, formerly of Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born November 14, 1931 in Elderon, Wisconsin, the son of Joe and Leona (Woytasik) Falkowski. Roger had retired from Dresser-Rand in Corning, N.Y. where he was an attorney. Roger was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and received his Law Degree from Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a US Naval Officer veteran serving from 1953 – 1956 and remained in the Naval Reserves for several years following active duty.

Roger enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting in his leisure. He spent much of his time reading, researching things of interest to him such as technology and science. He was an avid football fan, especially of the Green Bay Packers.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Leona Falkowski and brother, Eugene Falkowski of Kansas. Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce.Children; Jeffrey (Linda) Falkowski of Hemlock, Paula (Michael) Marinaro of Green Brook, NJ, grandchildren; Corey, Anthony, and Joseph.Sisters; Dr. Marlene Venardos of Mesa, AZ, and Patricia Kasten of Weston, WI.Sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Geneseo: Brett passed peacefully with friends and his companion on October 20, 2011, at age 82. Born in Bath, NY after serving in the US Air Force, he moved to New York City to enroll in the Robert Joffrey Ballet School in 1953.

He was an original member of The Joffrey Ballet. Danced with Radio City Corps de Ballet, Empire State, NBC Opera, New York City Centre Opera, couldn’t sing a note. Leaving New York City and taking a complete turnabout, Brett was trained as a tool and dye maker and worked in Buffalo and Warsaw, NY. His next career, he became an LPN at Wyoming Community Hospital; raised horses, and rode with the Genesee Valley Hunt for many years. He had a keen knowledge of art and antiques, a skilled stenciler, a marksman at black powder shooting, enjoyed gardening, and bonsai, and was at home in the kitchen. Brett was quiet and unassuming with a wicked sense of humor, a true Renaissance man of many skills. On August 29, he married Donald Holland, his partner of 51 years. Brett we miss you already.

Ken will be missed by many people because he was such a kind and caring man to his family and friends. He always had a great sense of humor and had a large and loving heart. Ken worked at Harris RF communications for 36 years in the model shop. He was an avid hunter and fisherman since he was a child. He loved teaching his grand-kids how to hunt and fish. He loved taking Brianna hunting with him in his hunting shacks and teaching her how to shoot her bow and arrow. He loved taking Brianna and Natalee for rides on his tractor to mow the lawn, plow the garden or just for fun. Ken also enjoyed helping his neighbors especially on the farm and he loved going on hunting and fishing trips with his friends. Ken was a very easy going guy and will be missed greatly by many.

Canandaigua: Robert L. “Bob” Watson, 66, formerly of Honeoye, NY and Orlando, FL., passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Thompson Hospital Continuing Care Center as a result of complications from diabetes.

He was predeceased by his mother, Mary E. Treble Watson of Honeoye; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Mary Edna Treble of Honeoye; paternal grandparents, Fred and Mary J. Watson of Lima, NY.

Robert is survived by his father, Joseph of Honeoye; sisters Mary J Watson of Honeoye, and Rita (Harold) Rosser of Naples, FL.; nephew, Luke (Emily) Rosser & great-nephew Thomas Rosser of Darien,CT., several aunts, uncles & cousins. Also survived by friends from Honeoye, old Sigma Nu brothers from Stetson University & friends from Orlando, FL.

Robert earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in psychology from Stetson University in Deland, FL. He was employed by the State of Florida as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and worked for the Minnesota Twins organization, as a statistician and photographer. After retirement, Robert was employed at Universal Studios in Orlando.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and George Townsend of Victor. Eric A. Van De Vliert – August 25, 2011

uncle_eric_smallSpringwater: Eric A. Van De Vliert, August 25, 2011 at age 47. Eric was born August 5, 1964 in Rochester, N.Y. to parents Albertus and Rika Van De Vliert. Eric graduated from Caledonia-Mumford Central High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force in Germany and Washington state. He worked as a Finish Carpenter most of his life, not only in New York, but also Colorado, Maine, South Dakota, and North Carolina. He settled in Springwater N.Y. near Hemlock Lake. Eric was fun-loving and big-hearted, he’ll be sorely missed, for he departed his loved ones too soon. Survived by brother and sister-in-law Al and Penny Van De Vliert, of Mountain Home, Idaho, his two nieces, and many aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the Kevin W. David B. Deveans – September 6, 2011

Canadice – David B. Deveans, 72 years, of County Road 37, Canadice, NY (Springwater,NY 14560), died unexpectedly at his home, Tuesday September 6, 2011. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, November 22, 1938, the son of Stanley and Katherine Griffin Deveans. He served his country in the US Navy from 1956 through 1958. For many years, he was a heavy equipment operator, belonging to the operating engineers 832 in Rochester,NY and also was truck driver for Monroe Contractors. He also was a member of the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion Post.

He is survived by Doris Deveans; his children, Cindy (Mike) Cary of Farmington,NY, Cathy Deveans (Duane Edgerton) of Canadice, Terri (Jim) Utter of St. Petersburg, FL, David A. (Jennifer) Leveans of Canadice, NY. Step-daughter, Vicky Brown of New Port Richey, FL. 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. 3 sisters, Mary Braddock of Mich., Karen and Myra Moore of Rochester. Several nieces and nephews.
