Collette S. McTarnaghan (Johnston) – October 12, 2018

Geneseo/Groveland:  Collette passed peacefully at her home on October 12, 2018 at age 69.  Predeceased by her parents Otis & Ruth Johnston and 7 siblings.  Survived by her children; Melissa Gammell of Wayland, Tina (Corey) Clinton of Nunda, and William McTarnaghan Jr. of Dalton; grandchildren, Thomas (Jennifer) Smyder, Michael & Jordan Gammell, Elizabeth Clinton, and Parker & Madalyn McTarnaghan; great-grandchildren, Lily & Haley Smyder; siblings, Martin (Sharon) Johnston & Valva Bradshaw; and Aunt Helen Johnston.  Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, and dear friends.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 16 th , from 4-5pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, NY where Collette’s Funeral Service will be held at 5pm following calling hours.  Burial will be held privately at Lake View Cemetery, Groveland.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Groveland Federated Parish, 6616 Groveland Hill Road, Groveland, NY 14462.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com

  13. 13 Oct 2018. Sorry to hear of Collette’s Passing. I had worked for her Dad “Otis(Pat) on his farm in Groveland fm1969-63. Her Mother “Ruth” was my 2nd Mom. Great Family! Lots of Great Memories with them. Miss. Ruth LOVED Canasta and we ‘d play for Hours and Ruth would make a Bushel of Popcorn. Always a joy to be there!
