Honeoye: October 17, 2015 at home at age 87 years. Predeceased by his first wife Patricia (Stetson) Pelton, daughter Martha Lynn Bowen, siblings; David Pelton, Roger Wood, Bernard Wood, and Joanie Thielman. Survived by wife Sandy (Haus) Pelton of Honeoye and daughter Kathryn Cardines of OR. Son-in-law Jeffrey Bowen of Victor, sisters-in-law; Elaine Pelton and Nancy Wood, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces & nephews.

Murray was born on January 7, 1928 to parents John and Lois (McPherson) Pelton. After high school he joined the US Navy and served honorably for 4 years. He then joined the US Air Force and served a 20 year career retiring as a Technical Sergeant in the US Air Force Office of Special Investigation.

Murray loved cooking, gardening, woodworking, leather crafting, and anything that kept his interest. He loved the outdoors and to hunt and fish. People that met Murray liked him and he made a lot of friends along the way.

At Murray’s request there will be no funeral services held. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Sands Center Center, 360 Parrish Street #101, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
