Bloomfield, NY: At age 75, Victor passed away on October 18, 2023. Victor was born August 22, 1948, to Victor E. and Marion Alford. Survived by his wife, Jean Alford; daughters, Susan (Matt) Herne and Jennifer (Ariel Fontanez) Alford; grandchildren, Kaylin Carlson and Nas Alford.
Victor was loved by many and taken too soon. He graduated from Livonia High School. He worked at Kodak for over 30 years and then chose a second career working at Bloomfield High School just for fun. He loved the people he worked with and worked hard every single day. He spent his free time with family and friends. He loved taking cruises with his wife and volunteering with the American Legion.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 2-4 pm at the Honeoye American Legion 4931 County Road 36, Honeoye, NY 14471. Memorial contributions may be made to the Honeoye American Legion or online at: https://mylegion.org/PersonifyEbusiness/Donate#legion-org

Hearing of Vic’s death hit me harder than any passing since my brothers death. Vic was a wonderful, gregarious, loyal, fun, and honorable friend. Vic was all in! I loved Vic, as a neighbor, friend, confidant and as a man. My wish for him and his family would be that he could have had another 25 years of healthy life to spend with his family, but we can’t control that. As time passes and we move from one stage of life to the next, and from place to place. Therefore, we sometimes lose touch with people who are important to us. I lost touch with Vic and Jean and the kids, years back, and it makes me cry to know that he is gone. My heart goes out to Jean and Sue and Jennifer and the grandkids. Vic was simply a really good man.

I have many fond childhood memories of Vic and Jean. Time took our families in different directions and we lost touch, but I’m very sorry to hear of his passing. Sending my sincere condolences to the entire family.
I am very sorry to hear about this. My early childhood is filled with memories of a smiling and happy Vic and Jeannie. If I see a NASCAR race or an RV I think of Vic. He was one of my father’s best friends back in the day and just hearing his name brings a smile to my face.
