Livonia: In Loving Memory of Margaret “Peg” Hynes, 1935 – 2023. It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Margaret Hynes, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Margaret peacefully departed this world on June 8, 2023.
Margaret was a beacon of inspiration, proving that with dedication and a relentless spirit, anything is possible. Her genuine affection for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren knew no bounds. They were the joy and light of her world, and she cherished each moment spent with them. Her love and devotion to her family were immeasurable and boundless.
Animals held a special place in Margaret’s heart, and her dogs—Georgette, Bella, and Bailey and of course Willow—brought her unconditional love, comfort and joy, as they became cherished members of the family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George, and her dear siblings, Jim (Pat) Powell, Robert (Marion) Powell, and Victoria McNulty.
She is survived by her children; Robert (Kelly), Jerry (Mary), Meg (Mark), Donald, Jean (Dale), and Elizabeth (Peter), David (Tammi), Beth, and Lisa (Ed). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and good friends. Their lives are testaments to the love and guidance she provided throughout the years. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each a cherished part of her legacy. While she may no longer be physically present, their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

I love this picture of Peg … animated with joy, caring, determination, fun, dedication, and a bit of mischief!
Family, Friends, Church and Community were those she loved and served. She will not be forgotten! It was always fun serving on committees and choir with her … rarely a dull moment.
To her loving family … you have my prayers, my heart and my deepest sympathy.
Blessings, Love and Peace,
Lucy
To everyone in Peg Hynes’ family. So sad for us to learn of Peg’s passing. We became instant friends with Peg & George when we moved to Livonia 28 years ago. We have so many loving & cherished memories of our entire liturgy group from St Joseph’s & St Matthew’s church & our husband’s were very close as well & enjoyed being together @ their breakfast group. We had so many parties & Friday night dinners & several times we went to Hynes’ for dessert & fun times to share. So sad that Peg & George are no longer with us, but they’ll always be a part of our wonderful memories. Our gift was their friendship & how much we learned from them. Very sorry for Peg’s loving family, Pam & Bob Rice – 6/16/23
My deepest sympathy to Peggy’s family. The only time I met Peggy in person, she lightened up the room with her smile and great personality! It was such a honor to meet her and will always remember her. Much love to her family and my best friend Katie and her family too
Sympathy to the entire Hynes family. Peg was so much fun to have in the choir loft at St Joseph church. She was afraid she would have to be on her best behavior when we moved to the front of St Matthew. I am so glad that I had the privilege of knowing both Peg and George. Peace and healing to all of you for this great loss
To all Peg’s family,
David and I are saddened to hear of Peg’s passing and will miss her dearly. Her smile, her sense of humor, her love for her family and her church family …all of us blessed to have known her and had her in our lives . She was one of the first women from St. Joe’s to welcome us to Livonia some 40 years ago ! She and George were certainly a pair !!!! You will be missed dear Peg. ??
You, her family , will be in our thoughts and prayers over these difficult days but know your loving care for her ( and George ) was indeed a gift and blessing!
Love,
Dave and Mary Jo Dussault
Love you and miss you Mom
