Livonia: At age 64, Pat passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at his home in Livonia, NY. He was born in Hornell, NY to the late James and Phyllis Argentieri. Survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Sandy Argentieri, his children; Patrick (Julie) Argentieri, Kayleigh Argentieri (Charles Moon), Emily (Christopher) Hill, his brothers; Mark (Colleen) Argentieri and James Argentieri, his grandson, Camden Hill, along with his compassionate caretakers, Tracy George and Michelle Rosa and his many dear friends and family.
Pat was a graduate of Hornell High School, Alfred State College, and Alfred University. In the early years Pat was the Controller at Alfred State College. Later in life he worked in the insurance field and continued his private accounting practice.
He loved golfing, his dogs, and the NYS sports teams, especially the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. His pets and his girls were the lights of his life.
The family requests you express your sympathy by completing a random act of kindness; or should friends desire, a memorial contribution may be made to Livingston County Hospice.
Friends and family are invited to call from 4-7PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia. Patrick’s Funeral Mass will take place at 10AM on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road in Livonia, NY. I was sorry to be notified of Pat’s passing, he was an amazing dear friend, a loving husband to Sandy and a proud and protected father to not only his two daughter’s Emily and Kayleigh but also to our extended family of the Dodge and Burgen children.. Sandy and family, I am shocked and saddened learning of Pat’s passing. I fondly remember working with him at ASC. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this very difficult time.

I grew up on John Street in Hornell and loved Mrs. Argenteri’s, Pat’s grandmother; visiting her with her (favorite- lol) granddaughters Nancy and Patty for a glass bottle of Coke remains a distinct lovely memory of my youth.John Street is one where houses are maintained and retained generation to generation, and our “hood” was delighted when Pat and Mary Beth decided to continue the tradition in the early 1980s. They worked on their home together and brought their son home for us to adore.
I served as their paper girl, babysitter, then when I attended Alfred State College as a student, Pat sought me out as a work study candidate.
Pat and I lost touch over time, as life will have it, but I always appreciated his kindness and willingness to help a local, neighborhood kid. I’m sorry we lost touch and wish my condolences to his family.
I’m so saddened to read of Pat’s passing. I remember fondly a “special chef’s dinner” that I was lucky enough to attend with Sandy and Pat. Oh, how those two loved each other (and wine!). May many happy memories ease your pain during this time of loss. Peace to the entire family.
