David B. Secor – October 19, 2021

Groveland, NY:  At age 69, Dave passed peacefully on October 19, 2021 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY.  He was born on November 23, 1951 in Penn Yan, NY to the late Bruce and Doris (Kneut) Secor.  Survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda (Scutt) Secor and children; Jennifer (Timothy) MacDonald of Groveland, Jeremy (Kristine) Secor of Geneseo, Jamie (Brian) Smith of Rochester, and Joshua (Brittany) Secor of East Bloomfield; grandchildren, Cody (Makayla) MacDonald, Kyle MacDonald (Jessica Serrano), Gracelyn Secor, Abby Secor, Lillian Treadway, Adalynn Smith, and Logan Secor; siblings, Cynthia Bremer, Gary Secor (Peggy Heid), Ronald (Candy) Secor, and Edward (MaryEllen) Secor; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Dave enjoyed spending time with his family, teasing his children and grandchildren and spoiling his wife as much as possible. He trained horses when he was younger but his love of animals did not end there. Dave would surprise his family by bringing home cats and dogs who needed a home. Dave enjoyed working on cars, driving semi-trucks across country and racing his hot-rods as a young man. Dave loved traveling, spending time outside and taking pictures. He enjoyed listening to music loudly in his car or at home. His favorite music was ACDC, Bon Jovi, and country music. In recent years, he loved watching his children and grandchildren grow-up and spending time at home with his wife, cat, and dog.

Funeral services will be held privately at Faith Fellowship Church in Lakeville, NY.  Rev. Steve Sweeting will be the celebrant.  Burial will also be held privately at Lakeview Cemetery, Groveland.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dave’s memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at:  https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/PFFTribute/DavidSecor .  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com
