William “Bill” D. Muscato Sr. ~ October 14, 2021

Lima:  At age 80, Bill passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY.  He was born in Livonia Center, NY to the late Frank and Jennie Muscato.  Bill was predeceased by his 6 siblings.  Survived by his beloved wife of 58 years; Barbara J. Muscato, his children; Elizabeth Yale, Susan (Steve) Holt, William (Aylin) Muscato Jr., his grandchildren; William (Ashley) Yale, Randy Yale, Bobby Yale, Lindsey (JC) Mayoral Yale, Sarah (Nick) Ondracek, Jim Holt, John Holt, Catherine Muscato, Aysel Muscato, Ethan Muscato, Morgan Muscato and his great grandchildren; Robert Yale and Finnley Yale, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

Bill started his 33-year career with Livonia Central School as a bus driver and worked his way up to the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds.  In his retirement, Bill pursued his love of farming and continued to bail and sell hay until his passing.  Bill also served as code enforcement officer for the town of Lima.  He will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to call from 4-7PM on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia.  Bill’s Funeral Mass will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road in Livonia, NY.  Interment will immediately follow mass at St. Michael’s Cemetery on Shelly Road in Livonia.  Memorial Contributions may be made to:  New York Future Farmers of America Foundation, 9340 Long Pond Road, Croghan, NY  13327.  To share a memory or a condolence, please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com.

  6. Sorry for your loss. Bill was my bus driver and on occasion I watched his children when he and his wife had date nights. I have a fond memory of Bill taking his bus load of students on a wintery morning to what was then Callahans for hot chocolate. Rest easy, Bill.
