St. Petersburg, FL: At age 79, Michael passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. He was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Howard and Lillian Roome. Michael is predeceased by his sister; Christine Henry. Survived by his beloved companion of 30 years; Pat Taylor, his children; David Roome, Alan Roome (Monica Guilian), Michelle (Mike) Cisco, James Roome, his siblings; John Roome, Nancy Compton, Dominick Yannantuono and his grandchildren; Sophie Roome, Sarah Dieter, Sam Roome, Cody Cisco, and Madelyn Roome, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends and family are invited to call from 10AM – 1PM on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia, where Michael’s memorial service will take place immediately following calling hours at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
