Barry B. Moore ~ March 8, 2021

Webster, NY:  At age 75, Barry B. Moore passed peacefully on March 8, 2021.  He was born on August 22, 1945 in Buffalo, NY to the late Frederick and Bertha (Ambrose) Moore.  Survived by his loving companion of 30 years, Nancy Marion; his children, Amy (Tony), Daniel (Brenda), Stephanie (Brendan), and Crissy (Gowanda); grandchildren, Dominik, Luke, Sam, Mitchell, Hanna, Christian, Ryan, and Tommy; great-granddaughter Kisaiya; sister-in-law Cyndy (Ken) brother-in-law Al (JoAnne); also survived by nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Barry retired from Bausch + Lomb in 2012. He worked in various departments and  held several positions. He took pride in every job he performed.

Barry enjoyed working on classic cars with the car “Nuts” and going to breakfast with them Wednesday mornings. He recently spent time assembling car models with his friend Jim. Summertime was fishing with Scales and Ales Fishing League. When not able to be boating with them, he received all their texts keeping him informed of all the action.

Special thanks to Unity Hospital Peritoneal Dialysis Clinic, especially nurses Wendy and Lori. All the nurses, doctors, and staff on the 4300 unit. Barry’s primary care physician Dr. Michael Herbowy , his staff, and particularly Casey Hanaburgh, PA. Cardiology Consultants of Rochester and Visiting Nurse Service.

  1. Nancy – So sorry to hear! I just received the news this past weekend. Not even sure where to start. Even though Barry and I had not talked or seen each other in a while, I still think of him as my other “Father”. That goes back to the days we shared at Ray-Ban. He was always there to help and guide me and we fueled each others passion for cars. I will always remember him for his kindness and generosity.

  7. Nancy and family -I am so sorry to hear of Barry’s passing I worked with Barry at B&L , he was a delight always pleasant and upbeat even through all his health issues. RIP Barry you fought a tough battle and will be missed by all who loved you

  10. Dear Nancy and family, we have enjoyed having Barry as a friend and neighbor. We will miss his friendly smile, and joe will especially miss swapping stories about the past and all the old cars they owned.

  12. What a great loss for anyone who knew Barry. Working with Barry and Nancy was a highlight of my B+L days. Barry was the voice of reason, often the peace maker in tense situations. There are few people I know who are as universally well liked!

  13. RIP “Jacques from Can a da”. Special thanks to a wonderful woman that never left his side. Who cared from him through his illness. Nancy I hope you find comfort in knowing you cared for Barry and made his last few months comforting.

  15. Barry was a truly special person. I was lucky enough to get to know him well over many years. I admired his outlook on life and his appreciation for the people in his life. I will miss him dearly.
