Conesus: At age 88, Ray passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Hornell Gardens in Hornell, NY. He was born in Springwater, NY to the late Lloyd and Gertrude Struble. Ray was predeceased by his beloved wife Liz Struble. Survived by his children; Donald (Jeanne) Struble of Honeoye, Sharon (Jim) Lucey of Hemlock, his grandchildren; Troy Struble, Christopher Lucey, Corey Lucey, Shawn Lucey, and his great grandchildren; Trinaty, Kayleen, and Cohan, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 3PM to 6PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia. Where a funeral service to celebrate Ray will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 11AM. Interment will immediately follow at Greenmount Cemetery on Greenmount Ave. in Dansville, NY. So sorry for your loss. He would still always wave to me whenever I would come home even after 35 years after Liz would watch us!

As a little girl our families would be at a gathering together. Or I was always walking up to our local store and a wave was returned. That’s what we do out here. Gestures of I know you. And proud of it. Good home town. Shake the hand of a man and the deal is sealed. I will watch out for you ad rote this you from harm. These little hamlets of Conesus, Webster’s Crossing , Springwater, was my home.

Sorry to hear of Ray’s passing. He will be with Liz now. I knew Ray all my life, he lived a mile from us on Carney Hollow Rd, He was a great guy.

Ray was a beautiful person, I loved him. He was my family, as he was my sisters father-in-law. He had the best sense of humor, slugs in motors “that’s all that is wrong with it” laughed our asses off on that! And the fact that he was born on leap year, “you do know I’m only 44 years old” COVID made it so that I couldn’t see him and my hearts go out to Sharon and Donny and especially to their spouses and Ray’s grandkids who couldn’t get to see him. Love to you all
So kind, so sweet, always willing to listen, to stop, chat, pull on your hair a bit. I thought you were my sweetest uncle. The memories that I have of you & Liz are beautiful, always fun, full of laughter, snacks, you would play guitar I believe late at night & we would dance in your living room. You will be greatly missed.
