  1. I am so sad to lose Karen. She was kind and loving and caring. She is the reasom I became a nurse. In 10th grade, she announced she was going to be a nurse. I had never thought about my future. I said “I will too”. We often compared notes about our work. Many people were comforted by her. I want to thank Michelle for being with her so much for so many years. She was so glad she got to go to Bainbridge once more to be with Todd and family.Be at peace, Karen. Until we meet again…

  2. I met Karen at Kresges at the Boulevard Mall in 1964 where we worked together during High School. The young girls there from KE, KW, Sweet Home had so much fun together at work and after. I also volunteered with Karen at Roswell Park picking and hanging cabbage leaves on the roof in an experiment trying to find an alternative for tobacco. I’ll always remember her kindness, sweetness, and beautiful smile. I’ve thought of her often many times over the years and am deeply saddened to learn of her passing. Deepest condolences to her family. RIP dear Karen.

  3. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Karen. She fought courageously. Just a lovely person. So many wonderful memories. You will be missed

  4. Karen was my dearest friend for 56 years. So much history and such fun. A stronger more independent woman would be hard to find. So caring and so proud of her Children and grandchildren. She will be sorely missed. A well deserved rest for her

  5. RIP! It is a pleasure to say I know you. Know that you were a good friend, classmate and will be missed.

  6. Very sad to lose such a wonderful cousin like Karen. A fine mother and grandmother for Michelle and Todd. We grew up together in houses side by side on Thurston so had great interaction and memories to share for our growing up years. Kept in touch regularly, particularly via the internet & phone. A dedicated Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees fan as well. Karen, you were a valiant warrior in all the later years dealing with your illness. Rest in Peace, you earned it. Love Bill , Kathy & family
