Larry A. Pragle – August 31, 2020

Wayland:  August 31, 2020 at age 72.  Larry was born on April 6, 1948 to the late Arthur and Viola (Wood) Pragle.  Survived by his wife Della (Rathman) Pragle; daughter Melissa Gleason; granddaughter Emma Gleason; and siblings, John (Sharon) Pragle, David (Racine) Pragle, Dixie Carmody.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Larry was born in Dansville, NY and spent most of his life in the Dansville and Wayland communities.  He was a truck driver and loved going to tractor pulls.  He was a long time member of the Dansville Moose Club.  Larry was a NASCAR fan and loved to watch and go to races.

No formal funeral services will be held.  The family will have a Celebration of Life Gathering in the future.  Memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s memory to the Springwater-Wayland EMS, PO Box 625, Wayland, NY 14572.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com

  1. Larry was an awesome person he put up alot of crap when me an my best friend played live music all night long down stairs from him I ask him does that bother u he said no I was once wild like that Larry had a great heart rip my friend…

So sorry to hear about Larry – I grew up in groveland and have known Larry all my life – I did BPs at the senior nutrition center every month for the last few years and would see Larry there – we would always catch up with each other about the Groveland folks and all the happenings there – I had not seen him since March when all this craziness started with the pandemic – he will be missed – deepest sympathy to all the family – you are in my thoughts and prayers. -Cassie

  4. I am sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. I always enjoyed his sense of humor when I would see him at Senior Lunch in Dansville. May he rest in peace and my sympathy goes out to his family.
