Jean F. Dembosky ~ May 6, 2020

Canandaigua: At age 91, Jean passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. She was born in Pottsville, PA. Jean was predeceased by her husband; Edward Dembosky. Survived by her daughters; Celeste (Richard) Williams, Barbara (Charles) Braun, her granddaughters; Kristen Williams, Jill Williams, Kara (Aaron) James, and Monica Braun, her brother; Lenny Jukus, along with her great grandchildren; Greyson James, Lena James, Everett James and Evelyn Williams.

Jean enjoyed being taking an active role in her senior community.  She was a longtime member of the Livonia Senior Club and the Livingston County Senior of the Year.  The only thing that was more important to Jean was her family.  Saying Jean was a dedicated, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, certainly is an understatement.  Jean loved being with her family and wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world, well except for maybe a good potluck.  Her love and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

A private graveside service will take place at Union Cemetery on Big Tree Road in Livonia. To share a memory or a condolence, please visit: www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com

  1. Jean was the mother of a good friend of mine Celeste. I always admired Jean and Ed as they were the progressive parents I wished mine were. They always welcomed me into their home and their lives. I remember both of them fondly.

  2. I will always remember memories with this very special lady! Although we had not been in touch in several years I will always remember her jokes and laughter.

  3. So sorry to read of Jean’s passing. She was a very special lady that I grew to love over the years. It was because of her we had the Senior Citizens as long as we did. Once she moved to Canandaigua no one would fill her shoes. She got me to do so many jobs for the club that once she moved I was finished too. She was organized and she loved the trips we went on, especially to the casinos. She was a sweet, kind and lovable person. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grand children and couldn’t wait for doings with all of them. I hope they have memories that will last forever, I know I will.

  4. To the Family of Aunt Jeanie, my heart goes out to you for the loss of such a beautiful person.

I will miss my calls to Aunt Jeanie and the joy of talking with her. She loved life, her daughters and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara and Celeste you are in my prayers as is the rest of the family.

My Mom loved her sister Jeanie and I loved her also.

    My love and prayers….Cindy Gluch
