Anna M. Schunk “Ann” ~ May 1, 2020

Lima: At age 83, Anna passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Canandaigua, NY to the late Ralph and Theresa Angelo. Anna is predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years; Donald Schunk, her sisters; Frances Van De Bogart, Rachel Harris Thayer and her brother; Thomas Angelo. Survived by her sons; Michael Schunk (Maureen Fenti), Mark (Robin) Schunk, her siblings; Kathy Czebatol, Ralph Angelo Sr., William Angelo, Richard Angelo, and Jake Angelo, her grandchildren; Krista (Christian Donner), Brianna (Jeff Dougherty), Trisha (Anthony Fredenburg), Justin (Carol Schunk), and Shane, and her great granddaughter; Eliza, along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Anna was very community oriented; she was the VP of the Lima Senior Association for many years, volunteer for the election board and a driver and scheduler for FISH.  Anna was always the first to lend a hand, she will be greatly missed.

A Private Funeral Service will take place at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home in Honeoye on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 with interment to immediately follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lima. A Public Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.     Annie was a wonderful friend to my mother (Rita Carrier). I know my mother loved and appreciated Annie’s friendship very much.
    I have a particularly fond memory of Annie. Several years ago, she invited my husband Bill and I to travel to Toronto to watch the Yankees- with their Sr citizen group. We had a wonderful time filled with great memories of the Yankees and Annie/Don.

  7. It was such a pleasure having Ann as our neighbor. I will always remember Ann just as her picture – with a beautiful smile. She was kind and caring – patched up our cuts and bruises a few times. Ann always made us feel welcome. Good memories will help to comfort during this sad time

  11. I spent a good amount of my childhood with Uncle Don and Aunt Ann. My father and Uncle Don were best friends so we did things together a lot. I have a lifetime of great memoriesRest in Peace, you are with Uncle Don again.

  13. Annie was such a wonderful person. She always had a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face. She was our neighbor for many years. She will certainly be missed.

  14. Ann was a longtime friend and classmate. We graduated together
    from Honeoye Central School in the Class of 1955. She and Don
    often visited me in Florida after we had retired. Annie was always
    cheerful and thoughtful remembering my mother during her ailing
    years and sending her a birthday card on February 26, a date that
    they both shared. She will be greatly missed.

    Always, remember seeing your mom and grandma at the sporting events, always spoke or had a wonderful conversation about the girls n my children.

  16. Aunt Ann was very special to me. That everlasting smile on her face I will always remember. Her warmness and caring nature was like no one else.
    Years ago on the summer days I went to work riding with Uncle Don in the cement mixer, I remember vividly how she made sure that she sent a good lunch for us to have. With a wink Uncle Don said I should come more often because it’s the only time he gets lunch!My great memories I hope to never lose.
    They are now together again and will be forever.

    I am saddened to hear of her passing. I got to visit with her many times when Don was at the Nursing Facility in Mt. Morris at the same time Ken was there. She was a dear lady and will be missed by all her family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Love & hugs to All!
