I’m sorry this condolence is so late. I was Vida’s pastor for just 3 years, but we remained in contact after that. I must have missed sending Vida a Christmas card last year, and I missed the news of her passing. Keeping all who loved her in prayer. She was a special lady. Thanks, especially Lynn and Cheryl, for sharing her with me.
We adore our memories of being with sweet Vida at Jill Walther’s house —also with Vida’s wonderful son, Lynn. She was a beautiful soul, so kind, and smart with such a lovely smile. I loved talking with her and listening to the wonderful stories of how she grew up. Her kind spirit radiated through her beautiful eyes. We are sending peaceful thoughts to her son Lynn and Jill, and to her whole family. May she Rest In Peace. ???Mike, Jane, Owen and Landon (CA)

Grandma was one of the strongest women I know and each trip I made to NY was about seeing her. She will forever be missed and no trip will ever be the same again. God speed Grandma.
I square Danced with Vida for a few years before she met Ed. On behalf of the Maple City Swingers and Skirts and Flirts, we send our deepest sympathy.
Vida and my Dad, Edward F. Todd, were married for 19 years. John and I shared a lot of good times with them and made some good memories when they were living in DePeyster and we in Rensselaer Falls.
Although we live in Florida now, I have made it a point to stay in touch with Vida by phone, and, in fact, I just spoke with her on Monday, before her stroke. We had such a good conversation, and we laughed and remembered so many fun times together. I’ll keep that conversation in my heart now and treasure it.
Vida was a good person and a strong woman, and I will miss her. Our sympathy to Stuart and Diane, Lynn and Jill, and Mary on their loss. We can, however, celebrate a good long life……and a life well lived.
Love,
Rosella (Todd) and John ValentineLeesburg, Florida
I remember your mom from when we were in school. She always looked like she just walked out of a salon, I don’t ever remember her being messed up. Such a beautiful lady. You have many, many years of memories, that will help in difficult time. You were lucky to have had her so long and now she is in a better place free of pain. God bless you and the family, our thoughts and prayers go with you.
