Scot R. Philipson “Scotty”- June 23, 2019

Livonia:  Peacefully on June 23, 2019 at age 52.  Predeceased by his father Raymond E. Philipson and his grandparents Ed & Julia Philipson and Ivan & Dorothy Costello.  Survived by his mother Edyth (Costello) Philipson and siblings; Diane (Scott) Ackerman of Livonia and John (Jen) Philipson of CO; nephews, Jack and Maxwell Ackerman.  Also survived by his aunt and uncle Helen & Dave Miller, many cousins including Bryan (June) Miller and Donna (Les) Barstow and many loving extended family members & friends.

Scot or Scotty to his friends, graduated from Livonia High School in 1985. He then went to work with his father as a plumbing and heating contractor later taking over Lakeside Plumbing & Heating.  Scot could always be found sharing the good times with his friends hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, following NASCAR and being on the lake. He loved being an uncle to Jack and Max especially spending family time in Colorado and Florida.

Friends may call on Sunday, June 30 th , from 2-5pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, NY.  Scot’s Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 1 st , 9:00am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road, Rte 20A, Livonia.  Private burial St. Michael’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Noyes Kidney Disease and Dialysis Center, 4616 Millennium Drive, Geneseo, NY 14454 or the American Heart Association, 25 Circle Street, Rochester, NY 14607.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com

  11. So sorry to his family, he was friends with my son Bobby McGowan who passed at 26, Scott and his dad were at every football ? game a Livonia in town or out oh town, Loving guy as was his dad, praying for you all ??

  12. Scot was an avid athlete and always gave his best to whatever he did. My condolences to his wonderful family.

Grew up and lived right next door to him for 8 years..So many fond memories >camping trips with my dad and Scot, Hemlock Fair and Pike Fair with his grandpa “pop pop” not to forget doing silly dumbass boy stuff like jumping our bikes off the dock into Conesus Lake…. Who knew that water hurts when you land your bike …LOL
