Richmond: At age 89, Bill passed away with his family by his side on April 3, 2019 at the M. M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua, NY. He was born in Rochester, NY to the late Raymond and Helen Olmstead. Bill is survived by his daughter; Alice (Tom) Mann of San Bernardino, CA, his sister; Barbara Barrow of Lakewood CO, his grandson Jason Mann of San Bernardino, CA., and his nephew William Barrow of Lakewood, CO. He is predeceased by his nephew, Robert Barrow.
Bill worked as welder for The Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY. He was also a member of the Honeoye – Hemlock American Legion, the NRA, and the Honeoye Fish and Game Club. Bill loved the outdoors, anything Ford or old, but most of all his family.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at St. Mary’s Church, 8961 Main St in Honeoye with interment following at Richmond Center Cemetery on Richmond Center Road in Livonia. But may the words of Jesus Christ be able to warm your hearts up a bit with the promises he has made in John 5:28,29 about a time when he will resurrect him back to this earth to be have the ability to live forever on a paradise earth, as the Bible says in Psalm 37:29 which says: The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it. So may these words bring a real sense of comfort for the future when all of you will be able to embrace him once again and to hold and cherish him forever and so to find the peace that surpasses all understanding go to JW.org to find it and may Gods spirit rest upon you as you grieve for him at this time.

Alice and Tommy,Wishing you peace and prayers following “Umpy’s” passing. It’s so difficult to have lost both parents- we have become orphans in our sixties.
Funny story: Bill took Connor with him to Umpy’s one day. Your dad showed Connor how he used a launching device in his junk yard – they broke a window. Connor was so impressed that when Bill and Umpy wandered off- he launched a few more – right through the window of and antique truck.
