Geneseo: At age 79, Slim passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 26, 2019 at his home in Geneseo. He was born in Rochester, NY to the late Naaman and Eliza Barnhart. Slim is survived by his wife of 47 years; Barbara Barnhart, his children; Kevin (Julie) Barnhart of Conesus, NY., Jacquelyn (Joseph) Bixby of Corning, NY., Jeffrey (Rose) Barnhart of Lakeville, NY., Karin Oyer of Hornell, NY., and his 16 grandchildren; Kyle, Kassandra, Gabrielle, Tylor, Jessica, Emily, Kayla, Mackenzie, Alexandria, Dylan, Elizabeth, Amanda, Rose, Danielle, William, and Katelyn, along with his 13 great-grandchildren. Slim’s family would like to give a special thanks to: Livingston County Hospice.
For many years, Slim was a welder by trade for Stone Conveyor in Honeoye. He excelled at many jobs along the way, before going to work for Atlas Van Lines as a mover and truck driver.
Friends and Family are welcome to come and share memories on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 10AM-12PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street, Livonia, NY. A Funeral Service to celebrate Slim’s life will directly follow calling hours. Interment will take place at Greenmount Cemetery on Greenmount Ave in Dansville, NY following Slim’s Funeral Service in Livonia.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. But sometimes words cannot fill the void of losing some one you love so dearly. But there is a very comforting message of hope, that comes from the Bible and really from Jehovah Gods Own Son, Jesus Christ and we find him here in John 5:28,29 which says: Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs ” Or in Gods memory” will hear his “Jesus Christ” voice and come out, to a resurrection to life. So one day in the future ” Slim” as you all called him, will e resurrected back to life again and ryen have the ability to live forever on this earth, as the Bible says in Psalm 37:29 which says: The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it. So may these words bring a real sense of comfort for the future when all these words will have come true and that all of you will be able to embrace Slim in your arms to hold and to cherish forever. One of the funniest afternoons of my life was spent in a tuxedo shop with him, he wanted to a white Don Johnson tux to wear to Jackie and Joe’s wedding. We secretly kept egging him on while Jackie frantically talked him out of it. Sorry for your loss, try to smile he always did.
Ralph barnhart has brought many smiles to his family when he came home, he got to meet some great grandchildren that he hasn’t seen and he git more visits from family , he will be in our hearts and the days we all spent with him will never be forgotten, we love you with all our hearts!
