Shirley A. Sackett – September 26, 2018

Canadice: Passed away peacefully on September 26, 2018, at age 64, at her home in Canadice, NY. Shirley was born in Canandaigua, NY to the late Elizabeth Weigert. Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Kenneth W. Sackett, her devoted children; Chad (Crystal) Sackett & Kari Sackett (Jim Strassner), her cherished grandsons, Robbie & Aiden, and her adored siblings, June (John) McAllister, Betty Owens (Bob Saturno) and Tom (Eileen) Weigert, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Shirley’s first love was spending time with her grandsons, Robbie and Aiden. She loved to crochet, embroider, along with many other art and craft projects. Shirley was involved in Cub Scouts for 12 years, where she helped one scout to earn his “Eagle Award.” She was involved in Girl Scouts for 15 years, taking the girls to Disney in FL, Ohio, and many other camping trips. She enjoyed watching and collecting “Wizard of Oz” memorabilia.

A Gathering to Celebrate Shirley’s Life was held at the convenience of the family.   3. Tom and I will miss Shirley’s laughter and Tom will especially miss his big sister’s advice. We will pray for her family and we want to thank them for the wonderful care that they gave Shirley.
