Daniel G. Gascon – August 13, 2018

Conesus: Dan was born on October 3, 1942 in Rush, NY and passed peacefully on August 13, 2018 at age 75. Survived by his loving wife, of 54 years, Gale J. Gascon and children; Tracy (Susan) of FL, Chester II of Conesus, Denise (Richard) Smith of Conesus, and Margaret (Jim) Baumbarger of TN; 8 grandchildren including special granddaughters, Courtney (Luke) Morris and Julia Feathers; special nephew William (Lisa) Gascon; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret, Grace, Alice, and Charles. Also survived by special sister-in-law Alberta (Scott) Lippmann, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dan was a hard working family man for all his life. He drove a cement mixer for Manitou Concrete for many years, was a farmer, woodcutter, and mechanic. He was self taught and if he didn’t know how to do it he would learn how. He was dedicated to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dan always tried to help others and had a big heart. Anyone in need could always count on Dan. The family wishes to thank Strong Memorial Hospital and their hospice unit for the care and compassion provided to Dan. Special thanks to Cynthia O’Neil for watching over him in his time of need.

Dan’s Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 20th, 10:30am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road, Rte 20A, Livonia, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1120 S, Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14620 or the Livonia Ambulance, PO Box 8, Livonia, NY 14487.   3. Gail, and family, Danny was a wonderful guy… and family man. I know the many memories of his kindness and caring will stay in our hearts. It was with sadness that I heard of his passing. It is good to read the fond comments on the page from the many people who were close to him. My sincere sympathy is sent to you and all the family.

  5. Gale and Family- So sorry to hear of your loss. I saw Dan a couple months ago at 7eleven and had a nice conversation with him. We talked about South Livonia and all the friends and families! Dan will be missed!

  15. Breaks my heart to lose a friend like Danny. He was so caring and loving, always made my day so much better when I ran into him. Always made me laugh. I will truly miss his smile and the way he made me feel like I mattered to him and Gale. He was family. I will miss him dearly.

  16. I went to school with Dan, and briefly lived next door. He was very kind way back then! I remember him sitting backward up front by Mr. Davis, the two of them chatting and laughing! My condolences to his family.
