Rochester: Saturday, June 23, 2018 at age 71. Predeceased by his parents, John W. Shelly and Theresa Steingasser Shelly McBride. He is survived by many numerous Shelly and Steingasser relatives as well as many dear friends. John was a Vietnam Veteran and a retiree of Eastman Kodak.

Rest In Peace, Dear Cousin, Marine who served 3 tours of duty in Vietnam. We are all so proud of you for serving our country. I will miss our long discussions on the phone over the years, our shared interest in genealogy, you keeping me interested in history and the old movies, but I will especially cherish the times we spent together with your Mom in Florida. I love you both dearly, and you were like a brother to me. Sadly I have to let you go be with her in heaven. I will look up into the sky and look for the brightest star and know you are there. R.I.P.
