Avon: Ronald Kevin Thew passed away suddenly on July 27,2023 at age 57. Ron was born July 16, 1966, to Karen M. Kelly Mendelsohn of Colorado, and Ronald Kenneth Thew of Avon, NY. Ronald is survived by both parents, his sister Khristine M. Najarian of Vermont, niece Shannon Helfman of Florida, and nephew Jared Helfman of Colorado.
Ron earned his living as an accomplished house painter. He also enjoyed writing poetry and was an artist. Included in his artistic endeavors was; writing songs and guitar playing.
A celebration of life will be held at the Avon Veterans Hall, 5480 E Avon Rd, Avon, NY 14414, on October 28, 2023, at 9 AM, the Rev. Mark Stiegler officiating. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. Although many years have passed, I knew Ron to be full of creativity in expressing his thoughts and dreams through his music and writing. He was always up for an outdoor adventure, a fishing trip, walk in the woods or experiencing an ice storm first hand.Rest in Peace Ron….
