Christine Ann Finocchario – March 20, 2023

Mt. Morris/Livonia: Christine Ann Finocchario passed peacefully on March 20, 2023 at age 71.  She is predeceased by her loving mother and father, Lucy and Natale “Sam” Finocchario and her brother Samuel Finocchario.  Survived by her loving sisters; Catherine Finocchario and Marylu & wonderful brother-in-law William Bean;  sister-in-law Donna Finocchario; nieces and nephews, Billy (Sondra), Sam (Christy), Mark (Sandy), Matthew (Nichole) Bean, Nicholas (Jen) Finocchario, Melissa (Thomas) Fires; 14 great nieces and nephews. Chris is also survived by many loving, caring friends and relatives and her special cousin Rosanne.

Chris graduated from Livonia in 1971 and soon started working at SUNY Geneseo at age 18. Chris worked at the College until she retired at age 55. She was known to many as the person who could bring a smile to your face, even on your worst day.  She also loved being actively involved with the St. Joseph’s youth group in the 80’s. The most important thing for Chris was to be with her family, friends and pets whenever possible.

Friends may call Thursday, March 23rd, from 4pm-7pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Livonia, NY.   Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 24th, at 10:30 am at St. Matthew’s Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road in Livonia. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Livonia.   2. I remember Chris fondly as a kind presence at SUNY Geneseo, someone who was always helpful and concerned for others. She will be missed by many. My condolences to her family.

    I’m shocked and saddened to hear of your passing. No one could make me laugh like you did. We started at the college about the same time; I will never forget how you, Harriet, and I counted the days until retirement! The best part is we all stayed in touch by those long afternoon lunches at Fratelli’s . Always you, Harriet, Kathy & I enjoyed our wine.I’ll never forget you my friend or the immense love, rescue & care you have to all animals. You had a big heart, enough for all of us.

  4. Chris and I were in school together. She was kindest and most soft spoken of our class and always had a smile. God bless you, her family, and well done, Chris! You were a good and faithful servant and now you are get your reward. Peace to your heart, dear one.

  14. Chris, You’re back with Betsy again. You guys loved your phone calls throughout your illness and Betsy opened the door for you. We love you and will miss your cheerful voice and love of life.   18. Words can not express how I will miss you Chrissy. We have shared our whole life together . So many laughs, so many good times with a few tears added through the years. I will miss that morning call. I will miss your laughter. The truth… I will miss everything about you. I love you Chrissy and I will see you again some day.

  19. Chris was always one of the kindest people I ever knew. As a little boy I loved when my parents visited with Chris, her siblings and her parents. There’s was a home of warmth and love and Chris was always sweet with us younger cousins. In recent years I enjoyed all our conversations on thr phone especially during the very difficult years of the Pandemic. I know my cousin Christine is in a better place .
