William “Bill” C. Ewert ~ February 3, 2023

Livonia: At age 79, Bill passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at his home in Livonia with Carol by his side. He was born in Buffalo, NY to the late Walter and Ethel Ewert.  Bill is also predeceased by his brother, Jim Ewert.  Survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Carol A. (Chapman) Ewert; his children, Dawn (Steven) Lester, Eric David Ewert, Todd Ewert, Heather White, Holly (Daryl) Ewert and Zachary Ewert; along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Bill was known for his love of the outdoors in addition to his love for bowling.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling with his wife Carol always at his side.  Bill made friends wherever he went.  He was quite the story teller.  Bill would gather people and entertain them with his wit and “mild” exaggerations.  Just as he did with people, Bill could envision the beauty in nature. He was known for his wood sculptures and displayed them at various art shows and at the “Chapworks” art studio with Carol.

Friends and family are invited to come and share your favorite stories of Bill at his calling hours from 5-7PM on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia.  A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11AM on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Canadice Methodist Church, 5945 Canadice Hill Road in Springwater, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to:  Canadice UMC, 5945 Canadice Hill Rd, Springwater, NY 14560  or to: the Livonia UMC, 21 Summers St, Livonia, NY 14487 or send a bouquet to someone you love.  To share a memory or a condolence, please visit: www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com
