Conesus:  At age 74, passed away on June 10, 2022. Sharon was born on January 9, 1948 in Wayland, NY to the late Ruth and John Holbrook. She was the second child with five siblings: Terry Holbrook (Susan Kurtz), Elaine Schreiner, Lynne Martindale (Donald Martindale), Laural Nice, and Larry Holbrook. Sharon was a kind and loving sister who cared for her younger siblings throughout their childhood. She married her high school sweetheart Francis Sharpe and accompanied him to Germany during his service in the military. Sharon loved to travel, meet new people, and spoke often of her time spent there. They were blessed with a son, Brian Sharpe, and daughter, Terri Lynn Brisbane. Brian lives with his wife Darcy in Helena, New York. Terri lives with her husband John and son Luke in Hemlock, New York. Sharon and Francis were married 26 years prior to Francis’ passing. Sharon provided rural route service to Groveland and surrounding communities for several years while employed with the US Postal Service. Prior to her retirement from USPS, she met her life partner Judy Love. They enjoyed redecorating houses, traveling, and hosting parties. After Judy’s passing, Sharon continued to winter in Gulfport, Florida but returned home during the summer months to spend time with her family in New York. Sharon loved music, dancing, playing sports, and decorating her home. She found delight in the beauty of her surroundings. Sharon was always busy in her yard keeping her gardens and surroundings pristine. We will all miss her feisty wit and loving nature.
