  1. I’m so sorry to hear that Martie is no longer with us. She was a personal care aide for my husband for many years. Always a happy soul and a giving spirit as well as an excellent aide. She always brought joy to our home and made our lives so much easier. We had a lot of conversations and shared memories of her mother, Martha, with whom I worked at SUNY-Geneseo. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

  2. Leigh, I am so sorry you are no longer able to be on this earth with Martie..I always remember you 2-together..as I saw you the last time…when you brought me in for dinner to your home..spontaneity gives me that memory! May our God comfort your heart…? hugsBen and Kevin and all you all..we all have wonderful memories, don’t we? God is good even when we see Her leave this earth..there will be a Great Reunion! ? Hugs from afar!

  3. Leigh, our hearts and prayers are with you during this time. We are glad to know you were able to see Martie before she left this life for glory. May His strength be yours.

  4. Mom,

You will be missed so very much.
Your thirst to know God could not be satiated. Your desire to grow closer to Him was a fire that we could not quench. In your ever growing desire to know, love and serve God we found comfort, purpose and direction. Of all those in our family, you saw the truths of God quickly and grabbed hold of the truth you found. You were such a comfort to me in your pursuit for God. Your ear was a plum line for His truth; when you heard something of our loving Savior, in the scripture, and it brought clarity to who He is, you doubled your pursuit for Him.
Your search was so great that we were unable to manage it and He had to call you to Himself.
You will be missed and I’m unsure if we will ever find comfort from our loss.
The only comfort we have is that you will have already prepared us warm quilts, an amazing banquet of delightful food and your heartwarming smile when we enter the dwelling God has prepared for us.

May His great name be magnified and glorified in the world that He created according to His will. May He establish His kingdom, during our lives and during our days and during the life of all the house of Israel, speedily and at a near time. Amen
Let His great Name be blessed forever and to all eternity. Blessed, praised, glorified, exalted, extolled and honored, magnified and lauded be the Name of the Holy One. Blessed is He. Though He is high above all the blessings and hymns, praises and consolations, which are uttered in this world.
    Amen

  20. Martie, you fought the good fight for so many weeks, only giving up after being able to hear and feel the touch of Leigh and Kevin for two brief visits on Friday and Saturday. Then The Lord called you home on Sunday. You are/were a special gift from God- always doing for and giving to others- but never in the spotlight. Now you have a new, healthy body in a beautiful paradise. We miss you already.
Thank you Kevin and Timaris for all you did for Leigh and Martie, and the supporting roles from Ben and Tracy, in spite of satan’s interference in all of your lives. Thanks, too, for ALL the many family and friends who prayed for Martie, Leigh, their children and grandchildren. What a support group! They still need your prayers.
