Lois A. Cicero – January 6, 2021

Livonia:  At the age of 63, Lois passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.  She was predeceased by her father.  She was survived by her beloved husband of 30 years; Charlie Cicero Sr., her sons; Charles Cicero Jr. and Samuel James Cicero III; her daughter, Mary Cicero, her mother, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Lois enjoyed spending time with her family, most of all her three children.  She also enjoyed celebrating the holidays, being outdoors in the sunshine, and taking day trips with her husband.

Lois worked for many years at Kodak but spent her most recent years working at Wegmans where she was known by an abundance of coworkers and customers for her generous heart, contagious smile, and warm spirit.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Saint Matthew’s Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road, Livonia, NY.  Burial will be held privately for the family at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Livonia, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lois’s name to Livingston County Hospice located at 2 Murray Hill Drive, Mount Morris, NY 14510.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com

  1. We are so sad to hear of Lois’ passing, but grateful for all the years that she fought a courageous battle. What a wonderful example of not letting cancer get in her way. We loved having her come to the farm at Christmas and sharing her stories with us. Lois will always hold a special place in our hearts.

    I am so very sorry to read of your loss! I have so many fond memories of the two of you coming in to Curves. We had wonderful conversation and a lot of laughs.May she fly like an Angel and watch over all of you from above.

  3. Charlie and Family,We are so saddened to learn of the passing of Lois. I have fond memories of carpooling to Nursery School at St. Agnes with our sons. When we would see each other in Wegmans we would always chat about our kids. Such a wonderful person! She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out for all of you.

  5. Although I didn’t know Lois personally I loved seeing her at Wegmans. She was always helpful to customers including myself even if she was busy.

    I was shocked and saddened to read today of Lois’s passing. It has been many years since we seen each other, but I will always remember her in our youth when we worked together at Cartwright Inn in the late 1970s. Her sense of humor always made going to work fun. Please extend my condolences to her mother, Ida, and her sisters that also worked with us.

  8. I did not know Lois personally but she made my many trips to Geneseo Wegmans a delight. Sending condolences to her family.

  9. Lois was always so good to my parents at Wegmans. After my Dad passed away she had some nice stories to tell us. My granddaughter was always so excited to see her, she would say “Mimi, Lois is here, Lois is here”. She has been missed. I’m glad she passed peacefully at home with her family, she was truly a special person. May God bless her and her family.

That’s how I always remembered her working at Wegmans front end for all our years together! Her smile, That laugh, a joke, an oh Lenny!   13. My heartfelt sympathy to the Cicero family. I will never forget all the fun times we had working together at the Wegmans Deli. She made working fun. Then, she invited me to stop at her house for a snack on Christmas Eve. That snack turned out to be more food than I have ever see. It kept coming and coming. Her suffering is over and she is with her God whom she so dearly loved. God Bless you all.

  18. We absolutely adored her at the bank. She was always a ray of sunshine and positivity whenever she came in! I loved seeing her at Wegmans and every time I had my kids she would stop and talk to them and genuinely ask how you were doing and how the kids were. She was a beautiful and pure soul that everyone will miss. Sending so much love to your family.
