Shelia Ann Becker ~ November 16, 2020

Canadice:  At age 72, Shelia passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Monday, November 16, 2020.  She was born in Wayland, NY to the late Roy and Virginia Bortle.  Shelia is predeceased by her beloved husband; Carl Becker and her brother Glenn Bortle.  Survived by her children; Carolyn (William) Hutton, Ann Marie Becker, Roy (Maggie) Becker, her grandchildren; Chelsea Hutton, Jacelyn Hutton, her brothers; Douglas Bortle, and Bruce (Debbie) Bortle, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will take place at 11AM on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 8624 Main Street in Honeoye with interment immediately following at the Canadice Church Cemetery on County Road 37 in Canadice.  Memorial Contributions may be made to:  Wilmont Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY  14642 or to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd, Fairport, NY 14450.  To share a memory or a condolence, please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com .

    You have walked the Path Of Sorrow , revealing it’s strength and devotion to the family heritage , it shines proudly of love. If I may step up and speak for all in The Crossing …Dear GOD we graciously love and accept with the strength you have given us.
    Shelia , no longer in pain, but is comforted, a welcomed member and GODLY child in Heaven’s above AMEN

    PS I want you to know I never forgot when I was n pain, how quickly you stepped up, stood up and said to your parents, I am going to help her!
    People she did , to Wayland to Dr. Robinson’s office , with a diaper stuffed in the wound of my knee, I thought the screen door ad open as I was running out with excitement, I kept running knee through the window glass( at that era-breakable, now that’s the kind of business the government can improve. This nonsensical licks in a sucker before ya bite , really. ( I didn’t feel the pain, I was in good hands , Dr. Robinson again kissed by an Angel put twenty-five stitches on top and disposal able ones underneath-then I cried… forever yours in the Crossing …Another Thank you .
