Michael S. Cary – May 26, 2020

Honeoye/Canandaigua: At age 60, Mike passed peacefully at home on May 26, 2020.  Predeceased by his father Paul Cary.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cindy (Deveans) Cary; son Shane Cary (Sarah Walford) of Bristol; granddaughters, Lexi, Lucy, and Laynie Cary; his mother Jackie (Alan) Flandro of Newark; siblings, Chris (Ann) Cary of Newark, Patrick (Barb) Cary of Clifton Springs, Julie (Patrick) Carr of Clifton Springs, and Alan (Diana) Huizinga of Canandaigua; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mike graduated from Honeoye Central School Class of 1977.  He was married to Cindy for over 42 years and dedicated to his family.  He enjoyed spending time with his 3 granddaughters and having fun with them as “Papa.”  Mike was a hard worker and worked with his brother for many years in the painting business.  He loved gardening, his dogs, and in his free time he liked to fish and have a good time.

  3. I was truly sorry to learn of Mike’s passing. It has been a number of years since I have had contact with you, Chris, Pat, Julie, and of course, Jackie (when you worked at Stonehedge Apartments, and I worked there in the summer of 1984). Please know your loss is keenly felt and my thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family during this very difficult time.
