  1. George hold a special place in our hearts. First he lead my brother to the lord 12 hours before he died. He also lead my wife Maureen to the lord and then married us 36 years ago. George was a very kind person and a faithful servant of the lord.

  2. My heart goes out to the Davis family. Pastor George was a blessing to everyone he touch. I had the pleasure of working with him and Judy when they started the Livonia Food pantry and helping with Surplus food distribution.. Him and Judy were such caring people always helping everyone.. Hes resting in Gods loving arms now . My heart goes out to his wife Judy God bless her and family..

  3. Pastor George was a wonderful man of God and a great spiritual leader. He had a major impact on my personal life and family when I was a teenager, our family was a part of Livonia Community Church for a number of years when he was pastor. I clearly remember the impact his preaching and teaching had on my dad and I also distinctly remember him speaking words of encouragement over me as we would greet each other coming and going from church. Some of the things he said have come back to me at different key moments in my life. He loved his community, his family, and the people he pastored and it showed!

  4. Wally and I surely have great memories of you and Pastor George through Koinonia. We love you and will be praying for God’s peace and comfort during this time. Looking for that great reunion in the air!

  5. Judy and family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. George was a great man and he was right there for my family through my mothers loss. I cant think of George without thinking about that ’89 Park Ave he sold to my father and going to your house on Branch St with my dad. You all are in my thoughts and prayers!!

  6. Judy and family. Sorry for your loss. Pastor George played such an important role in my life as a spiritual leader. He was an example of a true selfless shepherd.

Last time we talked he was telling me that he was seeing a person occasionally going between the bathroom and bedroom but couldn’t see his face. He was sure it was the Lord and that He would reveal His face eventually and that would be it He would take him home.

His biggest concern was that people would make a fuss over him. He did not want a hero’s send off. No recognition for military service or speeches saying what a great man he was. Rather the focus should be on Jesus.

It is good that we share fond memories of Pastor George and what he meant to us as we grieve his loss. But to truly honor him we need to be sharing Jesus with others. “Lift Jesus Higher” as he would say.

How would I sum up Pastor George? A sinner save by grace who was ever aware of what Jesus had done for him and lived his life to serve Him. As John the Baptist said “I must decrease so He may increase” so Pastor George lived.

    He will truly be missed

  7. He was my pastor growing up. I have An identical twin sister and even after he had watch us grow up from babies he still have to check our ears to see which one had the freckle to tell us apart. I have a lot of great memories from that church rather it was release time on Tuesday’s, VBS in the summer, helping with the food pantry, Sunday school, etc. I loved George and Judy! So glad he is home and in the presence of the Lord ??

  10. Pastor George was a true friend to my son Doug who lived next door to him
on Branch St. in Livonia. He also did my Father-in-laws funeral Walt Nichols
which was so personable and wonderful. He will be missed by many and my he rest in peace with the Lord almighty.

  11. I will always remember the time when Pastor George and I lost a carp at the end of a dock on Conesus Lake. We may have lost the fish but there is no doubt he was a true Fisher of Men. You will be missed.

  12. My father always made sure I knew how much he loved me, and I loved him back. The lengths he would go to to bring me joy! Like at Christmas which he made so special. He wouldn’t put up our tree, trains, gifts or any decorations until after we went to bed Christmas eve. He’d work late into the night. He told me later how he loved to see the look on our faces when we came out next morning to see all the wonders that Santa had accomplished that night. We enjoyed many fishing trips, ball games, and watching football together. He was an amazingly strong man to over come all that he did and become a pastor. We talked a lot about our football teams and the old days in recent years, but most important to him was had I been saved. I was happy to tell him that yes I have been. I’ll miss our talks Dad, but I’ll see you in heaven one day.

    Love Jim

  13. Sorry to hear about Pastor George. I’m sure God is welcoming His long-time friend! I remember when our daughter, Mary Kay, was going to summer Bible school. There was a break of some kind, so she thought it was over, and walked home. She was about 5 or so, and had to cross a few streets! Pastor George went to find her, and got to her before she crossed 20A, thankfully. We were always so grateful to him and his kindness.

  14. George never stopped sharing the word of God. He shard his word and lived his word. Amazing to see God working in him. Ain’t God good is right. All the time. I will miss my time with him. George this may be the year for the bills.

  15. Pastor Davis had a special place in our hearts. He led me to the Lord and he united Ron and I in marriage. We had the privilege of visiting with Judy last week. What a blessing! We didn’t get to visit with Pastor Davis as he was resting. We will just postpone that visit till we see him in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We will miss you Pastor Davis! Till we meet again.

  16. My thoughts and prayers are with Judy and the family. Pastor George made a difference in my life as a teen and I am grateful for his wisdom and influence. May God’s peace be with him and with the family.

  17. Pastor George will always have a special place in my heart. Last time I saw him I told him if I weren’t to see him again that I’d see him in heaven . So Pastor George I’ll see you when I get there and until then you will be missed.
