Canadice: At age 65, Patty passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She was born to the late Leonard and Carol Ann Britton. Patty is survived by her children; Michelle (Jerry) Preston of Retsof, NY, Daniel DuPlessis (Mallory McKown), her siblings; Sharon Chau, Pamela (Karl) Schill, Janet (Rick) Frost, Leon Britton, Allen Britton (Karen Fair), Brian Britton (Angela LaFountain), Carol Mensinger, her grandchildren; Devon DuPlessis, Logan DuPlessis, her grandpuppies; Ashe, Niko, Ezio and her many nieces and nephews.
Patty had a spiritual connection embracing nature, the earth and Native American Culture. She loved all animals and had a special place in her heart for cats and birds. Patty enjoyed jewelry making, crafting, and ceramics. Since Patty was a child, she always looked forward to attending the “Pageant of Steam” in Hopewell with her family and sharing the tradition with the younger generations. Patty counselled many people through the years, both professionally and personally. She has been of friend of Bill W. for nearly 40 years.
Friends and Family are invited to call on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 4PM-6PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 8624 Main Street in Honeoye. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 6PM. I remember the Steam Pageant. Patty and I enjoyed camping there with our children for the entire event for a number of years.
